BU Knights ROTC Unit - Tabaco

‎𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | The 𝗕𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗞𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀) 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗼 𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗖 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 successfully conducted its 1st 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘆 for the 1st 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗔.𝗬. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳.

‎On 16 August 2026 , the 𝗕𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗞𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀) 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗼 𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗖 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 officially commenced its first training day of the semester. At 0700H, the cadets were formed and oriented on the fundamentals of ROTC, what they can expect throughout their training, and the proper bearing and discipline expected of them. An orientation was also conducted for cadets interested in pursuing the Advanced ROTC program.

‎At 0930H, the cadets proceeded to the gymnasium for an orientation on the proper completion of their required forms. After completing their forms, the cadets were assembled and organized according to their respective platoons. At 1130H, the cadets were dismissed.
‎
‎The first training day served as an opportunity for the cadets to understand the importance of proper bearing, discipline, and responsibility values that will guide them throughout their ROTC journey and help develop them into future leaders.

‎The 𝗕𝗨 (𝗞𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀) 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗼 𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗖 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 actively participated in the Fire and Earthquake Drill conducted on 07 August 2026, as part of the 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
‎
‎The activity was organized by the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝘀 (𝗡𝗦𝗥𝗖) – 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗽 𝗕𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗼, in partnership with the 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘂 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗕𝗙𝗣) – 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗼 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, with the objective of enhancing the university community’s readiness, preparedness, and ability to respond effectively to fire and earthquake emergencies.

‎The 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀' 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝘀 (𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗖) is one of the three components of the National Service Training Program (NSTP). It is a program designed to provide basic military training to tertiary-level students. ROTC prepares students to support the Armed Forces of the Philippines, especially during times of crisis or national emergency. It also equips them with the knowledge, skills, and values needed for national service and nation-building.
