New school year, new tiles.
Our center has never been this dusty and messy. However, this is necessary as we prepare for another awesome school year of play and learning. A safe environment is one of the things we prioritize and loose tiles just won’t work.
We know many of you are waiting for our enrollment and I cannot wait to accommodate you all. Please be patient as we wait for the completion of the construction. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Today, we concluded our School Year-End Recognition Program.
What should feel like a simple closing ceremony somehow carried a weight I didn’t quite expect. Along with the applause, the smiles and the proud moments came the unavoidable goodbye.
I went back home and I found myself feeling a little sad. Okay, not just a little.. I literally cried my eyes out! 😭😭 It’s strange how endings can bring such a deep sense of separation. Maybe it’s because this year was filled with so many shared experiences—countless moments of learning, laughter, challenges and growth that we all went through together. When you spend so much time building memories with these amazing little people, you don’t always realize how meaningful those moments are until the time comes to say goodbye. And maybe that’s why the feeling today was so profound. It wasn’t just the end of a school year —it was the closing of a chapter we all wrote together.
Still, I’m grateful. Grateful for the memories, the community we have created and the small everyday moments that made this school year special. While goodbyes can feel heavy, they’re also a reminder of how wonderful the journey has been.
Here’s to carrying these memories forward and hoping the paths we take next will be just as meaningful. ❤️

When a child’s behavior feels challenging, it’s easy to assume they’re doing it on purpose.
But most of the time, behavior is communication.
Kids act out when they’re tired, hungry, overwhelmed, anxious, missing connection, struggling with a skill, or carrying an unmet need they don’t yet know how to express.
Seeing behavior this way doesn’t mean we allow everything. It means we respond with kindness and curiosity instead of punishment, and support instead of shame.
When we look for the reason beneath the behavior, we help our children feel safer, more understood, and more capable of learning better ways to cope.
That’s where real growth happens. 💛

Posting these gems a month after Christmas 🎄
It was a memorable Christmas party as we were able to come together as one. The children performed Christmas caroling, played a game and exchanged gifts with each other. We had a feast indoors and had some videos to watch. At the end of the party, we did some karaoke, singing our hearts out and being merry together.
Thanks to our wonderful community that made this event truly meaningful and memorable.

Before November ends, I want to share our exploration about Fireworks.
Last November 11, Taal Town celebrated the Feast of Saint Martin de Tours. That night, I watched the fireworks from our terrace and I showed the video I took to our school children the next day. We talked about what we know about fireworks. They said, that they were colorful and that they were loud. “I’m not scared of fireworks!” “I see red, blue, green and purple!” “I saw fireworks too!” These were some of their thoughts.
We wanted to recreate the beauty of fireworks so we gathered together and I showed the children a way which we can somehow interpret fireworks on paper. I walked them through step by step and surprisingly, the children were able to follow my suggestions.
After expressing our thoughts about fireworks through visual arts, we explored the grandiose feeling of witnessing fireworks through music and dance. I played an old song by Katy Perry called Fireworks through a speaker and instantly the children caught the vibe and were moving and dancing in no time. The catchiness of the song and the simplicity of words made it easy for children to sing along too.
This experience was truly multilayered and unique. I am surprised and grateful for our children’s participation and I hope they remember that through play, learning is always going to be fun!
