𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 05, 2026 – Surigao del Norte State University-Journal Publications Unit, together with Global Health Focus (GHF) University Excellence led by Dr. Eliseo Lucero-Prisno III, had successfully established Surigao del Norte State University’s profile on Scopus--an exemplary milestone toward the university’s tireless efforts to harmonize all its research articles, conference papers, reviews, and book chapters–the types of papers currently indexed under Scopus.

Scopus is the leading curated abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature, including scientific journals, books and conference proceedings launched by Elsevier. With the coverage of over 80 million records, it confers tools to track, study, and visualize research into various fields and disciplines, including science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities.

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑺𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒂𝒐 𝒅𝒆𝒍 𝑵𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚?

This achievement opens the threshold for Surigao del Norte State University to enter the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Ranking, Webometrics Ranking of World Universities and other global higher education rankings, advancing the university’s goal for internationalization through research. This level of expansive visibility intensifies attraction impact for potential partnerships with international peer reviewers and associate editors for the Journal Publications Unit.

In a post, Dr. Prisno exclaimed, “Wohooo! Ayos na ang ating Scopus profile (,) Surigao del Norte State University! … Congratulations!” Praising the fruit of months of tireless efforts through effective cooperation and diligence.

Presently, Surigao del Norte State University houses sixty-two (62) Documents from 2019 to the present year and eighty-one (81) recognized authors.

“We need to add 150 to this number in 2026. We can do it!” Dr. Don Prisno added, citing a prolific year ahead.
