A salute to Christian Jay C. Agape of Mat-i Central Elementary School, who secured the gold medal in the rapid chess-team category of the Palaro TuAgsur. Along with him was Gabriel O. Givero of Trento West Central Elementary SPED Center who showed strategic brilliance in navigating the high pressure environment of chess competition.

The entire Surigao City is celebrating with pride and success as the first gold medalist in the chess competition elementary level. We commend the team's spirit of discipline and excellence.

This achievement is the result of years of hard work, dedication, discipline, and the unwavering support of his family, coaches, teachers, Mat-i Elementary School, Chess Jam Training Center, and the entire Surigaonon community.

Today, Cjay’s name becomes part of Surigao City’s sporting history as one of the young athletes who helped deliver the city’s first-ever Chess Gold Medal in Palarong Pambansa.
