In a heartfelt effort to stand with students during a difficult time, the SNSU family extended cash assistance to SNSUans affected by the recent fire incident. This initiative reflects the university’s strong commitment to ensuring that no student faces hardship alone. Led by 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗔. 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼, 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 𝗗𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, and 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗙𝗲 𝗖. 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮, together with the 𝗨𝗦𝗖 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿, 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀, the team personally reached out to deliver support and comfort to the affected students—showing that in moments of crisis, the institution stands united, ready to lift one another and rebuild with hope and resilience.

Following the advisory from the Provincial Government, CLASSES and WORK ACROSS ALL SNSU CAMPUSES will RESUME ON NOVEMBER 5, 2025 (Wednesday).

📢 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Pursuant to Office Order No. 501, s. 2025, issued by the Office of the University President, classes and office work at Surigao del Norte State University (all campuses) are suspended on November 3, 2025 (Monday) due to Tropical Cyclone “Tino.”

Essential offices involved in health services and disaster response shall continue their operations to ensure continuity of critical services and emergency response readiness.

All are advised to remain vigilant, stay indoors, and monitor weather advisories from PAGASA and local authorities.

𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐚 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐍𝐒𝐔’s 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐭 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Caraga and the Provincial Government of Dinagat Islands conducted the final facility inspection for Surigao del Norte State University’s extension classes in the Province of Dinagat Islands (PDI) last July 17, 2025.
The facility is located at Barangay Cuarinta National High School, where SNSU will hold its extension classes starting this month. Initially, 3 degree programs will be offered: 1) Bachelor of Science in Agro-Forestry; 2) Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology; and 3) Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, each accommodating 50 students.
Said inspection was headed by Regional Director Dr. Nelia A. Alibin, together with the Provincial Governor, Hon. Nilo P. Demerey Jr., MPM. Also joining the activity were CHED Education Supervisors Dr. Rolyna S. Trugillo and Mr. Ever Joy G. Rabadan, MSc, alongside provincial officials and SNSU representatives.
Through this collaboration, CHED Caraga expresses its commitment to expanding access to quality higher education, strengthening partnerships with local governments, and supporting academic development in the region.

August 18, 2025 marks the first day of classes at Surigao del Norte State University, celebrated simultaneously across our campuses; Surigao City, Del Carmen, Malimono, Mainit, the newly instated Claver Campus, and the Dinagat Extension Classes. 💙✨

Each campus had its own highlights, with the City Campus leading a meaningful 4-in-1 celebration: Oath-Taking of Newly Hired and Promoted Positions, Student Welcome, ASEAN Month, and Buwan ng Wika. 🇵🇭🌏

Guided by the theme "Primera Eskwela 2025: Handa sa Panibagong Hakbang, Wika’y Tanglaw sa Landas ng Tagumpay", SNSU begins another academic year with pride, unity, and commitment to excellence. 🚀
