The Curriculum Development Office is conducting an 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐲 for two proposed programs of Surigao del Norte State University (Main Campus, Surigao City):

𝐈𝐌𝐑𝐂 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖 𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐌𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐂𝐘𝐂𝐋𝐄 𝟑 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐋𝐒

The Instructional Materials Review Committee (IMRC) of SNSU met on September 14, 2026, at 1:30 PM at the TBI–Waves Office, presided over by Dr. Angielee G. Camarin, Vice Chair of the IMRC. The Vice Chair assumed the functions of the Chair in accordance with the Committee's governing policy, the Chair being on official leave for an academic engagement abroad.

The meeting was convened to constitute the three-member teams that will review the Core Instructional Materials (Core IMs) accepted under Cycle 3, the first cycle undertaken under the revised SNSU Policy on Instructional Materials Review and Certification (BOR Resolution No. 58, s. 2026).

Present were Dr. Lucille G. Tanguihan (CTE), Dr. Unife O. Cagas (CCIS), Dr. Michelle T. Panganduyon (CAS), Mr. Renerio I. Duallo (CAAS) and Dr. Federico C. Aves Jr. (COE), together with Ms. Jessel Mae S. Apole of the IMRC Secretariat. The Committee finalized the assignment of reviewers per Core IM and the arrangements for a consistent and efficient conduct of the review.

The activity forms part of the University's continuing effort to ensure that instructional materials authored by SNSU faculty meet the standards of quality, accuracy, and outcomes-based design required for classroom use.

SNSU conducted its Orientation and Strategic Planning Meeting for the proposed 2027 new program offerings on September 9, 2026, via Zoom, convened by the Curriculum Development Office.

The activity oriented campus directors. college deans, program chairs, and Technical Working Group members on the institutional process flow for new program development — from the identification of need and preparation of documents by the TWG, consultation and benchmarking, review by the Dean and the Curriculum Development Office, Academic Council presentation and approval, CHED Preliminary Assessment, and Board of Regents approval, up to program implementation.

Also taken up were the prescribed forms, the program evaluation instrument, the quick self-assessment on library resources, laboratories, and required facilities, the arrangements for the CHED Preliminary Assessment, and the timeline of activities leading to the 2027 new offerings.

The initiative forms part of the University's continuing effort to ensure that all new academic programs are responsive to industry and community needs, compliant with CHED requirements, and ready for quality assurance and accreditation.

Attention, faculty authors of Core Instructional Materials!

The Curriculum Development Office, together with the Instructional Materials Review Committee (IMRC), now invites you to submit your Core Instructional Materials (Core IMs) for internal review this First Semester, AY 2026–2027.

Cycle 3 is the first review cycle under our revised policy (BOR Resolution No. 58, s. 2026). If your Core IM was deferred from Cycle 2 or was not returned for revision checking, you will need to reapply under the new guidelines.

🗓️ Deadline: August 28, 2026 (Friday), 5:00 PM

📋 What to prepare:
✅ Completed Core IM (SNSU template) — printed + digital
✅ Dean-approved Course Syllabus
✅ Application Form
✅ Certification of Alignment
✅ Turnitin submission (required)

Only complete submissions will be accepted, and Core IMs must have a similarity index of 20% or below to proceed to formal review.
