Families Evacuate to Zaragoza National High School Ahead of Typhoon Tino Landfall

Barangay Zaragoza, Surigao City, Surigao Del Norte.

As Typhoon Tino continues to move closer to land, families from Barangay Zaragoza have evacuated to Zaragoza National High School in preparation for the storm’s expected landfall.

Classes and work in government/private offices have been suspended as part of the local government’s preparedness measures. Rescue teams and medical personnel have also been placed on standby to respond to emergencies once the typhoon makes landfall.

Local officials continue to urge residents to remain vigilant and to follow updates from PAGASA and the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (LDRRMC).

Zaragoza National High School is still open for evacuees. Let's work hand and hand with the community for the safety of everybody.

Stay safe, everyone!!!

We celebrate two simple but powerful habits that help keep our bodies strong and our minds sharp. Clean hands and healthy teeth don’t just fight off germs, they help us stay in school, focus better, and feel more confident every day.

Let’s remember: good hygiene is a key to good health, and good health supports better learning. So let’s wash our hands, brush our teeth, and take care of the amazing bodies and brains that help us grow!
