The Guidance Services Office successfully facilitated the Psychosocial Support Activity, in partnership with the High School Department on August 8, 2026, bringing together students, faculty members, and guidance advocates in a dedicated effort to promote a healthy sense of community and mutual care.
Anchored on the theme, "Weaving the Web of Support: Stronger Together", the activity served as a vital platform for students to strengthen interpersonal connections while highlighting the importance of a compassionate and interconnected school community. The symbol of the web reflected the collective strength created when every individual contributes kindness, understanding, and support to those around them.
The event featured insightful sessions led by resource speakers Ms. Leocelle Mae G. Espadero, RPm, and Ms. Crisly A. Geraldino, RPm, CHRA. Their discussions focused on mitigating school bullying and fostering a safe, supportive learning environment. Under their guidance, students participated in meaningful dialogues aimed at recognizing the impacts of bullying, promoting active bystander intervention, and encouraging proactive peer advocacy while affirming a shared commitment to respect, empathy, and inclusivity.
The activity also provided an opportunity for students to build strong foundations of friendship and deepen their sense of community. Through guided interactive exercises, group reflections, and collaborative tasks, participants were encouraged to practice active listening, extend genuine care, and embrace mutual support as they navigate the academic year together.
The Guidance Services Office and the High School Department remain steadfast in their commitment to prioritizing student well-being and nurturing a learning environment where empathy, friendship, and psychosocial support flourish hand in hand.

Surigao Education Center proudly recognized the successful completers of the TESDA Short Term Courses during the TESDA Recognition Exercises held on August 4, 2026, at the Audio Visual Room.
The Recognition Exercises honored the hard work and commitment of learners who successfully completed the Plumbing NC II, Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II, and Caregiving NC II programs under the guidance of their respective trainers, Eddie S. Casio, Bienvenido G. Batican, and Belen B. Odtojan. Their accomplishments reflect months of practical training, determination, and readiness to pursue opportunities in skilled professions.
The event was graced by Mr. Joselito C. Ecoben, Supervising TESDA Specialist, who represented Provincial Director Catalina O. Tacubao as the guest speaker. In his message, he underscored the vital role of technical vocational education in empowering individuals through industry relevant competencies that open doors to employment, entrepreneurship, and lifelong career opportunities.
More than a recognition of completed training, the ceremony marked the beginning of new possibilities for every graduate. Through TESDA's competency based programs, learners gain practical, hands on experience and National Certification that strengthen their qualifications for local and international employment.
Surigao Education Center continues to stand alongside TESDA in developing a highly skilled, productive, and future ready workforce, one learner at a time.

The High School Department successfully conducted its Acquaintance Party and Induction of Officers on July 31, 2026, at the Surigao Provincial Convention Center, bringing together students, faculty members, and school administrators in a celebration of leadership, camaraderie, and new beginnings.
Anchored on the theme, "Cultivating Leadership, Celebrating Friendship", the activity served as a venue for students to strengthen interpersonal connections while recognizing the vital role of student leadership in fostering a positive and inclusive school community. The event's pastel inspired motif complemented the atmosphere of warmth, unity, and optimism as participants gathered for the occasion.
A significant highlight of the program was the formal induction of the newly elected student officers, who took their oath of office and affirmed their commitment to uphold the responsibilities entrusted to them. As representatives of the student body, the officers are expected to lead with integrity, accountability, and a genuine spirit of service, contributing to programs and initiatives that promote student welfare and holistic development.
The acquaintance party also provided an opportunity for students across different grade levels to build meaningful relationships and strengthen the sense of community within the High School Department. The SEC-Grade School Department concluded its Nutrition Month 2026 celebration on July 31 with a culminating program anchored on the theme, "Nutrisyon at Kalusugan, Ating Pangalagaan," highlighting the importance of proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle among young learners.
One of the program's featured activities was the Tabo sa Grade School, where each grade level organized booths offering a variety of nutritious Go, Grow, and Glow foods. The activity promoted healthy food choices while providing pupils with opportunities to demonstrate teamwork, creativity, and entrepreneurial skills.
The celebration also showcased the pupils' creativity through the Nutrition Month Costume Parade, where learners confidently wore costumes inspired by fruits, vegetables, healthy foods, and other nutrition-related concepts. Their imaginative presentations reflected the department's commitment to making nutrition education engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable for every child.

The Surigao Education Center- Montessori Department successfully culminated its Nutrition Month Celebration on July 29, with a vibrant program centered on this year's theme, "Let's Care for Nutrition and the Environment."
The culmination showcased the creativity, talents, and learning of the Montessori pupils through lively performances grouped under the Go, Grow, and Glow food categories, emphasizing the importance of balanced nutrition for healthy growth and development. Adding color and excitement to the celebration, the pupils confidently wore creative costumes inspired by fruits and vegetables, promoting the value of nutritious foods in an engaging and meaningful way.
The program also featured the recognition and awarding of winners from the various Nutrition Month contests, honoring the pupils' creativity, participation, and enthusiasm throughout the month-long celebration.
Through activities that combined learning, creativity, and environmental awareness, the Montessori Department reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing healthy habits, environmental responsibility, and holistic development among its young learners.
