Wilfredo D. Rafols Memorial National High School officially launched the DepEd ARAL Summer Remediation Program (SRP).

An orientation was successfully conducted last May 5, 2026 at 9:00 AM, attended by learners, parents, and dedicated teacher-tutors. The program formally started on May 6, 2026 and will run until June 2, 2026.

The program caters to:
đź“– Grade 11 learners under the ARAL Summer English and Mathematics Program
đź“– Identified JHS learners under the ARAL Summer Reading Program who are at the frustration level in the Phil-IRI EOSY Assessment

This initiative aims to strengthen learners’ literacy and numeracy skills through continuous guidance, support, and intervention during the summer break.

Wilfredo D. Rafols Memorial National High School celebrated a remarkable achievement with the successful conduct of its 9th Graduation Rites and 15th Moving-Up Ceremonies on March 30, 2026, at Brgy. Poctoy Gymnasium.

Anchored on the theme, “Filipino Graduates: Prepared to Lead with Competence and Character,” the occasion stood as a testament to the learners’ growth and celebration of their achievements through the years.

The ceremony brought together DepEd and Barangay officials, SPTA officers, and proud parents—each playing a vital role in making this milestone truly meaningful.

With grateful hearts and hopeful spirits, the Senior High School candidates for graduation of Wilfredo D. Rafols Memorial National High School gathered for their Baccalaureate Mass on March 28, 2026, at 7:30 AM held at San Juan Bautista Chapel, Brgy. Poctoy, Surigao City.

The Eucharistic celebration, officiated by Rev. Fr. Rolmart L. Verano, became a solemn moment of thanksgiving for the journey they have taken and a prayerful offering as they prepare to reach an important milestone in their academic life.

Our JS Promenade 2026, with the theme “Afterglow – A Night Under Floating Lights,” was held on February 27, 2026. It was a night filled with unforgettable memories.

The event was attended by our Public Schools District Supervisor, Sir Marcelino D. Borja, our supportive Barangay Councilors, and GPTA officials, whose presence made the celebration even more special.

📣 School-to-School Campaign (Wave 2) | Early Registration Drive 📣

Yesterday, January 30, 2026, Wilfredo D. Rafols Memorial National High School successfully conducted Wave 2 of the School-to-School Campaign as part of its Early Registration Drive, led by SSLG Adviser Ma’am Marilyn N. Lerio together with the dedicated SSLG Officers.

The team visited partner elementary schools to encourage incoming Grade 7 learners to participate in early registration, while strengthening collaboration and unity among schools in our community.

Last January 27, 2026, Wilfredo D. Rafols Memorial National High School proudly conducted a School-to-School Campaign at Justino R. Clavero Memorial Elementary School.

The activity was led and supported by our school principal, Ma’am Maria Vanessa J. Resullar, together with Ma’am Marilyn N. Lerio, Sir Nathaniel Liquido, and the enthusiastic SSLG officers, who shared valuable insights to help learners prepare for junior high school.

During the campaign, pupils together with their parents were encouraged to consider Rafols High as their future school, where quality education, caring mentors, and active student leadership await them.

READING MONTH 2025 SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDES WITH CULMINATION PROGRAM

December 5, 2025 — The Reading Month Celebration came to a successful close with a culminating program held at 1:00 p.m. The event showcased the creativity and literary talent of students through three major contested activities: Choral Reading, Literature Cosplay, and Video Making.

Prior to the culminating day, students also participated in Home of Imagery and Story Resolution, activities designed to enhance imagination, comprehension, and expression.

Serving as this year’s Reading Ambassador was Hon. Andrew E. Llega, who led the advocacy for strengthening literacy and fostering a love for reading among learners.

The program concluded with the awarding of outstanding performances and a reaffirmation of the community’s commitment to promoting a strong reading culture.
