𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐣𝐨𝐬, 𝐉𝐫., 𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐎 𝐕𝐈, alongside 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐦 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐃𝐫. 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐏. 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 and the 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 represented by Senior Education Program Specialist 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐎. 𝐒𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐳 and Education Program Specialist II 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐱𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐆. 𝐃𝐚𝐳, who served as the overall lead organizers of the event. The kick-off mobilized educators, government officials, volunteers, and private sector partners in a five-day countdown to the opening of classes on 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

The day began with a vibrant parade and motorcade that wound through the municipality, drawing enthusiastic participation from a wide cross-section of the community.

Immediately following the parade, participants engaged in a tree planting activity on the school grounds, symbolizing environmental stewardship alongside school readiness. The formal opening ceremonies were then held at the SFNHS gymnasium, beginning with the National Anthem, a solemn prayer, and the Division Hymn, followed by a formal acknowledgment of participants. The event was hosted by 𝐉𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐲 𝐒. 𝐎𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐧, SST-I, and 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐕. 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐬, SST-II.

Welcome remarks were delivered by ASDS Madjos, followed by a lively welcome dance performed by the school's performing arts group. A Brigada Eskwela video presentation showcasing highlights of the 2025 Brigada Eskwela was then shown to inspire the crowd. The centerpiece of the ceremony was the message and declaration of the 2026 Brigada Eskwela and call-to-action, delivered by SDS Galanida. In her address, she emphasized that 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐤𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦—𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝.

A major highlight was the ceremonial turn-over of donations and memorandum of agreement signing.
Major corporate donors included 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, which donated 𝒔𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒚-𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒉𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒚-𝒇𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 of 𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐡𝐨, 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐤𝐨𝐧𝐨, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐚𝐧 varieties. 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐦 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 donated 𝒕𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒆𝒔𝒐𝒔 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝒐𝒇 𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒙 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕. The 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐌𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 (𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐀) gave 𝒕𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒔𝒉 𝒃𝒊𝒏𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒅𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒔. 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 provided 𝒇𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒆𝒔𝒐𝒔 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝒐𝒇 𝒉𝒚𝒈𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒆 𝒌𝒊𝒕𝒔. 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐨 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 donated 𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒈𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕, 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝒓𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒔, and 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒃𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒉. 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐳𝐚 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜 turned over 𝒇𝒊𝒇𝒕𝒚 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒈𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔. 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤 contributed 𝒇𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒈𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕. 𝐁𝐃𝐎-𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 donated a 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒆𝒕𝒖𝒑 including one monitor, one keyboard, one mouse, one HDMI cord, one charging port, one HP ELITE desk, and one PC stand.

After a photo opportunity with all donors and officials, the program proceeded to the pledge of commitment, led by 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐝 𝐂. 𝐎𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐳, the SFNHS SPTA President, followed by the signing of commitment by all stakeholders. Words of acknowledgment were then delivered by the host 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐈𝐈 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐭 𝐂. 𝐓𝐢𝐮𝐣𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐜𝐨 expressing gratitude to all participants. The morning session concluded with a stirring community singing, uniting everyone in a shared spirit of volunteerism.

After lunch, the program shifted to hands-on Brigada Eskwela volunteer activities, including cleanup drives, minor repairs, and repainting of classrooms. A 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐚 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 was also set up in front of the stage to promote literacy.

Other division officials present included from the 𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒔 𝑫𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑺𝒖𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕, Division Legal Officer 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐊𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚 𝐆. 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐜𝐨-𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐚 and Division IT Officer 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐞 𝐁. 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐨, and Project Development Officer in Youth Formation Division 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐑. 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐚, who set up the 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒌 booth. From the 𝑪𝒖𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒖𝒎 𝑰𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑫𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏, present were Education Program Supervisor 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐲 𝐏. 𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐨, and Public Schools District Supervisor 𝐄𝐯𝐚 𝐀. 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐞, who served as the host district supervisor for the Anao-aon District.

The 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑵𝒖𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 deployed a full medical team offering free check-ups, dental consultations, and first aid services to volunteers and school personnel. The kick-off program was also attended by 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐝𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 "𝐒𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐲" 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐚, whose presence inspired the participating divisions and stakeholders.

DepEd Surigao del Norte expressed its deep gratitude to the host 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐝𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐝𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 for their warm accommodation and seamless organization of the national event. The division also acknowledged the unwavering support of the 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐄𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 through Regional Partnership Focal 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧̃𝐨𝐬, whose efforts in bringing together various partners and supporters did not go unnoticed.

All schools division offices that attended prepared their 𝑜𝑤𝑛 𝑏𝑜𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑠 𝑖𝑛 𝑎 𝑐𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑒𝑓𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑡 𝑏𝑒𝑡𝑤𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐶𝑢𝑟𝑟𝑖𝑐𝑢𝑙𝑢𝑚 𝐼𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝐷𝑖𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛 (𝐶𝐼𝐷) 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑆𝑐ℎ𝑜𝑜𝑙 𝐺𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑛𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑂𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠 𝐷𝑖𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛 (𝑆𝐺𝑂𝐷). These booths were filled with learning resources, manipulative toys, and displays of best practices in ARAL, Reading, Brigada Eskwela, and the school-based feeding program.

Separate booths were also set up by different organizations and partners. Financial institutions and other partner groups handed over simple but useful items such as umbrellas and tumblers, while others offered free services including a blood donation drive—small acts of kindness that together made a big difference in preparing for the coming school year.

As the national kick-off concluded, the DepEd Surigao del Norte Division now turns its focus to its own 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧-𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐤𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐊𝐢𝐜𝐤-𝐎𝐟𝐟 scheduled for tomorrow, 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. The division will hold simultaneous school-level activities across all districts, mobilizing teachers, parents, learners, local government units, and private partners to clean, repair, and prepare every school ahead of the upcoming class opening.
