The "L" was placed first to honor the incredible bravery and solidarity of le***an activists during the 1980s HIV/AIDS crisis. When the epidemic hit and society largely abandoned gay men due to intense stigma, le***an women bravely stepped up as frontline caretakers, organized vital blood drives, and took over leadership roles to keep the advocacy movement alive. 🩸❤️

Moving the "L" to the front was a profound act of gratitude from the community, ensuring that q***r women’s contributions and voices would always be given top visibility and respect.
