The Surigao del Norte State University - Malimono Campus ROTC Unit successfully conducted its Provincial Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (PAATI) and Joint Closing Ceremony at 0700H on May 30, 2026, held at the Technology Ground of Surigao del Norte State University - Malimono Campus, Brgy. The activity commenced with the arrival of the Chairperson, ๐๐๐พ ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐๐ ๐พ ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐, ๐๐๐พ (๐๐๐) ๐๐ผ, Director of the 1503rd Community Defense Center. He was received and escorted by 1๐๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐๐๐พ๐๐ผ ๐๐ผ๐๐๐๐๐๐ (๐๐๐) ๐๐ผ, who represented ๐๐ผ๐
๐๐ ๐ผ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐๐๐ (๐๐๐) ๐๐ผ, ROTC Commandant. This was followed by the Trooping of the Line led by Battalion Corps Commander CDT Erol B Guma (ROTC) 1CL.
Following the opening formalities, participants proceeded to their respective evaluation areas for various PAATI activities including SUT, Comprehensive Exam, Map Reading (Theoretical and Practical), First Aid (Theoretical and Practical), and the Assembly and Disassembly of the M16 Rifle. The inspection concluded with an impressive overall rating of 91.38%.The program was further enriched by a captivating intermission performance from the SNSU Malimono ROTC Drum and Lyre Corps and an impressive Silent Drill Competition, both of which showcased the cadetsโ discipline, precision, teamwork, and exceptional talents. Adding greater significance to the event, the Commandantโs briefing highlighted the unitโs notable accomplishments, ongoing initiatives, and operational readiness, reflecting its commitment to excellence, leadership, and service.
By 1500H, the Joint Closing Ceremony commenced at the campus gymnasium, The event was attended by ROTC officials, faculty members, cadets, guests, and parents, with ๐๐ง. ๐
๐๐ง๐ง๐ฎ ๐ฝ. ๐ผ๐๐๐ง๐ค ๐ฟ๐๐๐ฟ๐จ, Campus Director of SNSU Malimono Campus, serving as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
The program formally commenced with an Audio-Visual Presentation (AVP) of the National Anthem, followed by the Invocation. The participants were warmly welcomed through the Welcome Remarks delivered by Mr. Jayson S. Vanzuela, NSTP Coordinator, who emphasized the significance of the occasion and commended the cadets for their perseverance and dedication throughout the training year.
The ceremony continued with the Presentation of Participants for Graduation by ๐๐จ๐ ๐ผ๐ง๐ฃ๐๐ก ๐ ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ค๐ (๐๐จ) ๐๐ผ, representing Cpl Kennedy B Morales (Inf) PA,Tactical NCO of the SNSUโMalimono ROTC Unit. Subsequently, the Declaration for Graduation was officially delivered by ๐พ๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ฃ๐ ๐ ๐พ๐ง๐๐จ๐ค๐ก๐ค๐๐ค (๐๐ฃ๐) ๐๐ผ, representing ๐พ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐ข๐ช๐๐ก ๐ผ ๐๐๐ก๐๐ฉ๐ (๐๐๐) ๐๐ผ, Assistant Commandant of the SNSUโMalimono ROTC Unit, formally recognizing the successful completion of all training requirements by the graduating cadets.
A major highlight of the program was the Distribution of Certificates and Awards, led by Mr. Jerry B. Acero Disids and assisted by ๐๐จ๐ ๐ผ๐ง๐ฃ๐๐ก ๐ ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ค๐ (๐๐จ) ๐๐ผ. This segment recognized the outstanding achievements, exemplary performance, and dedication of cadets who demonstrated excellence in leadership, academics, and military training. The awarding ceremony served as a testament to the hard work and sacrifices made by the cadets throughout the academic year.
Following the awarding ceremony, ๐พ๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ฃ๐ ๐ ๐พ๐ง๐๐จ๐ค๐ก๐ค๐๐ค (๐๐ฃ๐) ๐๐ผ,formally introduced the Guest of Honor and Speaker. In his keynote message, Mr. Jerry B. Acero DiSDs inspired the cadets to uphold the values of patriotism, integrity, discipline, and responsible citizenship. He emphasized the vital role of the youth in nation-building and encouraged the graduates to continue applying the lessons learned from ROTC in their personal, academic, and professional lives.The program concluded with the singing of โPilipinas Kong Mahalโ through an Audio-Visual Presentation, symbolizing the cadetsโ unwavering love for the country and commitment to national service.
The activity concluded successfully at approximately 1700H with highly positive results.
