The Surigao del Norte State University - Malimono Campus ROTC Unit successfully conducted its Provincial Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (PAATI) and Joint Closing Ceremony at 0700H on May 30, 2026, held at the Technology Ground of Surigao del Norte State University - Malimono Campus, Brgy. Cagtinae, Malimono, Surigao del Norte. The event was conducted under the supervision of the ROTC Commandant, 𝙈𝘼𝙅𝙊𝙍 𝘼𝙉𝙏𝙊𝙉𝙄𝙊 𝙋 𝙎𝘼𝙉𝙏𝙊𝙎 (𝙄𝙉𝙁) 𝙋𝘼,

The activity commenced with the arrival of the Chairperson, 𝙇𝙏𝘾 𝘿𝘼𝙉𝙉𝙔 𝘾 𝙈𝘼𝙂𝘼𝙎𝙊, 𝙂𝙎𝘾 (𝙄𝙉𝙁) 𝙋𝘼, Director of the 1503rd Community Defense Center. He was received and escorted by 1𝙇𝙏 𝙋𝘼𝙏𝙍𝙄𝘾𝙄𝘼 𝙈𝘼𝙍𝙏𝙄𝙉𝙀𝙕 (𝙄𝙉𝙁) 𝙋𝘼, who represented 𝙈𝘼𝙅𝙊𝙍 𝘼𝙉𝙏𝙊𝙉𝙄𝙊 𝙋 𝙎𝘼𝙉𝙏𝙊𝙎 (𝙄𝙉𝙁) 𝙋𝘼, ROTC Commandant. This was followed by the Trooping of the Line led by Battalion Corps Commander CDT Erol B Guma (ROTC) 1CL.

Following the opening formalities, participants proceeded to their respective evaluation areas for various PAATI activities including SUT, Comprehensive Exam, Map Reading (Theoretical and Practical), First Aid (Theoretical and Practical), and the Assembly and Disassembly of the M16 Rifle. The inspection concluded with an impressive overall rating of 91.38%.The program was further enriched by a captivating intermission performance from the SNSU Malimono ROTC Drum and Lyre Corps and an impressive Silent Drill Competition, both of which showcased the cadets’ discipline, precision, teamwork, and exceptional talents. Adding greater significance to the event, the Commandant’s briefing highlighted the unit’s notable accomplishments, ongoing initiatives, and operational readiness, reflecting its commitment to excellence, leadership, and service.

By 1500H, the Joint Closing Ceremony commenced at the campus gymnasium, The event was attended by ROTC officials, faculty members, cadets, guests, and parents, with 𝙈𝙧. 𝙅𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝘽. 𝘼𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙤 𝘿𝙞𝙎𝘿𝙨, Campus Director of SNSU Malimono Campus, serving as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

The program formally commenced with an Audio-Visual Presentation (AVP) of the National Anthem, followed by the Invocation. The participants were warmly welcomed through the Welcome Remarks delivered by Mr. Jayson S. Vanzuela, NSTP Coordinator, who emphasized the significance of the occasion and commended the cadets for their perseverance and dedication throughout the training year.

The ceremony continued with the Presentation of Participants for Graduation by 𝙎𝙨𝙜 𝘼𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙡 𝙋 𝙂𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙤𝙗 (𝙈𝙨) 𝙋𝘼, representing Cpl Kennedy B Morales (Inf) PA,Tactical NCO of the SNSU–Malimono ROTC Unit. Subsequently, the Declaration for Graduation was officially delivered by 𝘾𝙋𝙇 𝙀𝙧𝙣𝙚 𝙎 𝘾𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙤 (𝙄𝙣𝙛) 𝙋𝘼, representing 𝘾𝙋𝙏 𝙄𝙖𝙣 𝙇𝙚𝙢𝙪𝙚𝙡 𝘼 𝙇𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙖 (𝙄𝙉𝙁) 𝙋𝘼, Assistant Commandant of the SNSU–Malimono ROTC Unit, formally recognizing the successful completion of all training requirements by the graduating cadets.

A major highlight of the program was the Distribution of Certificates and Awards, led by Mr. Jerry B. Acero Disids and assisted by 𝙎𝙨𝙜 𝘼𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙡 𝙋 𝙂𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙤𝙗 (𝙈𝙨) 𝙋𝘼. This segment recognized the outstanding achievements, exemplary performance, and dedication of cadets who demonstrated excellence in leadership, academics, and military training. The awarding ceremony served as a testament to the hard work and sacrifices made by the cadets throughout the academic year.

Following the awarding ceremony, 𝘾𝙋𝙇 𝙀𝙧𝙣𝙚 𝙎 𝘾𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙤 (𝙄𝙣𝙛) 𝙋𝘼,formally introduced the Guest of Honor and Speaker. In his keynote message, Mr. Jerry B. Acero DiSDs inspired the cadets to uphold the values of patriotism, integrity, discipline, and responsible citizenship. He emphasized the vital role of the youth in nation-building and encouraged the graduates to continue applying the lessons learned from ROTC in their personal, academic, and professional lives.The program concluded with the singing of “Pilipinas Kong Mahal” through an Audio-Visual Presentation, symbolizing the cadets’ unwavering love for the country and commitment to national service.

The activity concluded successfully at approximately 1700H with highly positive results.

On 09 0700H May 2026, the Surigao del Norte State University - Malimono Campus ROTC Unit, successfully conducted its 15th day for the second semester of Academic Year 2025-2026. The activity was held at the SNSU-MC Technology Ground under the supervision of CPT IAN L LALATA (INF) PA, the ROTC Commandant.
The formation was led by C/LTC Erol B Guma, 1CL, Corps Commander, and supervised by CPL Kennedy B Morales (INF) PA, Acting Chief Clerk, with the assistance of two (2) GMA and Nineteen (19) advanced ROTC officers, composed of eleven (11) 1CL and eight (8) 2CL cadets.
Afterward the ROTC unit assembled at the parade ground for the scheduled formation and simultaneous preparation for the upcoming Provincial Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (PAATI),Emphasis was placed on military courtesy, drill proficiency, completeness of documents, and maintenance of equipment in accordance with the guidelines of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps and the policies of the Department of National Defense to ensure full compliance and readiness for PAATI. These included Map Reading exercises focusing on grid references and terrain interpretation; M16 rifle familiarization emphasizing safety and parts identification; Small Unit Tactics (SUT) covering squad formations and movement techniques; a comprehensive evaluation of military knowledge; Basic Life Support (BLS) training to enhance emergency response skills; and knot tying drills to reinforce essential fieldcraft techniques, the day’s activities were executed systematically to simulate inspection conditions and ensure operational readiness.
The activity was attended by 167 Basic ROTC Cadets and Cadettes actively participated in the training, which concluded successfully at 1130h at the same day.

The activity was held at the SNSU-MC Technology Ground under the supervision of CPT IAN L LALATA (INF) PA, the ROTC Commandant.
The formation was led by C/LTC Erol B Guma, 1CL, Corps Commander, and supervised by CPL Kennedy B Morales (INF) PA, Acting Chief Clerk, with the assistance of two (2) GMA and twenty-five (25) advanced ROTC officers, composed of fifteen (15) 1CL and ten (10) 2CL cadets.
