The Science Month Debate Competition, organized by the CECA College Governing Unit, kicks off on September 27, 2024, at the Pope Francis Conference Hall. The event wowed the audience as debaters showcased their wit and strategic thinking while debating the motion, "This House Supports the Regulation of Artificial Intelligence."
The Opposition Bench, consisting debater of Zander Nico Escopete, Luke Buhisan, and Clark Justin Deliupa, emerged as champion. Zander Nico Escopete also claimed the title of Top 1 Best Speaker.
Meanwhile, the Government Bench made a strong showing in individual rankings. Louis Andrew C. Espina won the Top 2 Best Speaker, while Kent Carl Laganlangan won the Top 3 Best Speaker.
The competition also highlighted the top adjudicators:

On September 27, 2024, the Paulino Folkloric Performing Ensemble, under the guidance of Mr. Jessie Galindo, the Moderator and Trainer Coordinator, together with the talented dancers, graced the Surigao City Gymnasium during the Karadjawan Nan Surigao Creative Festival and National Tourism Week 2024 with the theme โTourism and Peace.โ
The Roaring Lions family celebrates this achievement led by our faculty, Mr. Jessie Galindo, and choreographed by Aljun Rapanan, a Bachelor of Physical Education student.

On September 26, 2024, the Spoken Poetry Competition kicked off at the Surigao City Gymnasium, featuring the theme "Karadjawan nan Surigao.โ Yogin Mae G. Plaza, a Bachelor of Secondary Education majoring in English from St. Paul University Surigao, showcased her talent among eight school contestants, ultimately earning 1st Runner-Up.
This achievement resulted from collaborative efforts from the Faculties, Students, and the College Governing Unit. Under the guidance of Dr. Maricar M. Saavedra, Yogin presented a piece titled โKarajawan sa Kasing-Kasing nan Pagka-Surigaononโ written by AB Political Science student Adrian Jose R. De Jesus.
This milestone reflects significant excellence in talent and exceptional collaboration. The Roaring Lions family takes immense pride in your achievement. Your hard work and dedication have showcased your talents and highlighted the power of teamwork and support within our community.

Rabadan from the CHED Regional Quality Assurance Team today, September 13, 2024, for an onsite monitoring and evaluation visit of the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) program and Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECED) program. The distinguished guests were greeted by Dr. Felisa Laranjo, Dean of the College of Education, Culture, and Arts, faculty members, and the College Governing Unit.
