His journey to the national stage reflects not only talent but also persistence and dedication to the craft of writing.
Orejasโ path to PASUC 2026 was far from easy. He first competed in the SNSU Socio-Cultural Competition in Essay Writing, where he secured first place. This victory earned him the opportunity to represent the university at the At the regional level, he placed second overall and ranked first in the CARAGA Region, ultimately paving the way for his qualification to the national competition.
Forged by the steadfast guidance of ๐๐จ. ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐จ๐จ๐ ๐. ๐๐๐ก๐๐ง๐๐ , he consistently worked on improving his writing, striving to express his ideas with clarity and purpose. His achievement stands as a testament to his hard work, determination, and strong command of language. More than a personal victory, his success brings pride and honor to the university, inspiring fellow students to pursue excellence and actively participate in academic competitions.
According to ABEL's program chair, ๐ฟ๐ง. ๐ผ๐ฃ๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ก๐ก๐ "๐๐ฎ๐ก๐" ๐. ๐ฟ๐๐๐ฏ, โ We have always believed in Benedictโs writing prowess and we are proud that he was able to compete on a national level. I am sure the experience taught him a lot. For the humble and intelligent person that he is, I am optimistic that he will have bigger breaks in an opportune time. To Benedict, being a part of something big, of a competition joined by students from different regions, is victory enough. Our heartfelt congratulations.โ
Furthermore, despite falling short for a podium finish his accomplishment reflects the programโs relentless pursuit of excellence in competitive academic writing. For the span of four years, the program has secured three national representations of the CARAGA Region, also produced notable alumni who have excelled in the mentioned field such as Mr. Ace Villamor, Mr. Jhon Steven Espenido, and Mr. Eric Ariarte. This consistent success highlights the programโs commitment to honing skilled writers who can compete and excel on larger stages.

Oh my goodness, are you the one caught frantically proofreading your essays on CCTV? This is your sign to lock in, channel your inner "literary critic", and get your syntax together!
Itโs another season of high caffeine intake and sleepless nights where your vocabulary starts to fail. You may feel like saying, โI canโt take this anymore, no way!โโbut don't let your GPA become a tragedy. You are just a few paragraphs away from victory, "homayghad, homayghad!"
Letโs keep our morphology intact like Girlieโs mole and finish strong. May your subject-verb agreement be flawless and your coffee be strong. Good luck on your midterm examinations, "Lexicon Legends!"

โMapasalamaton kaayo ko sa ini na review. Puhon, kung maka-pasar ko, tungod ni sa ijo, SNSU.โ
These were the heartfelt words shared by one of the student-reviewees during an interview, and indeed, they said everything that needed to be said about the Bacuag RISE: A weekly Community-Based CSE Review program.
The day opened with registration and an opening prayer, setting the tone for a one last fruitful session. Participants then faced the Mock Exam for the Paper-and-Pen Career Service Examination, a crucial step in measuring how far they have come from the weeks of continuous guidance and how ready they are for the real challenge ahead.
In the afternoon, the much anticipated Final Coaching session led by Mr. Ruel T. Buba and Ms. Vanissa Velarde transformed the venue into a hub of strategies, note taking, and focused determination. It was the kind of session where every tip mattered and every reminder felt personal. You could see it in their eyes. This was not just another review. This was a stepping stone toward a dream!
The Closing and Awarding Ceremony gathered inspiring messages from leaders and partners, hosted by Ms. Cristine Madelo. Firstly, Dr. Annabelle N. Diaz, the Program Chair of ABEL, delivered a wonderful opening message, encouraging students to carry their discipline and confidence beyond the review hall.
Hon. Tessie Jean C. Nakao was not present during the event, but her message of support was delivered by a representative from the Sangguniang Bayan on her behalf, reaffirming the municipalityโs commitment to empowering future civil servants.
Adding a personal touch to the ceremony, student representative gave a speech that resonated with fellow reviewees. He spoke about shared struggles, early mornings, mental exhaustion, and the quiet determination that pushed them forward. His message reminded everyone that they were not alone in this journey because a community that reviews together, RISES together.
The awarding segment became a celebration of persistence. Certificates of Completion, recognition for complete attendance, honors for high scorers, and commendations for faculty and student extensionists were proudly presented. Applause filled the room as names were called, each one representing commitment and hard work finally recognized.
All in all, Bacuag RISE 2026 was not just about preparing for an examination. It was about building confidence, strengthening community ties, and igniting hope. And if that one studentโs words are any indication, the impact of this program will echo far beyond the review sessions and into the results that everyone is now courageously working toward. ๐

From classroom discussions to office desks, a new chapter officially begins for the ABEL students. After the Pre-Orientation by the Placement Office and the Pinning Ceremony, they are now stepping into their internship journey across various partner institutions.
The students have been formally endorsed and deployed to trial courts, law offices, radio station, and different government agencies aligned with the program. The papers once written for class now turn into real reports and documents. The communication skills sharpened through recitations and presentations are now practiced in professional spaces where precision and responsibility matter.
This milestone marks growth, trust, and transition from academic preparation to real world engagement.
Sincere thanks are extended to Ms. Mary Ivie C. Arlan, Placement Coordinator, for her guidance and support throughout the placement process. Appreciation is also given to Ms. Vanissa E. Velarde, OJT Coordinator of ABEL, for leading the endorsement of the students, together with Ms. Cristine P. Madelo, ABEL Faculty, for assisting in the deployment of the interns to their respective offices.
Officially endorsed. Ready for the real world!
