Lookll The MAFAR BARMMIARC Research Associates under Prism Project conducted its 14th monitoring field visit in the Municipalities of Guindulungan, Datu Saudi Ampatuan and Datu Unsay Maguindanao. Among the four monitoring Field, only one is not yet harvested.

Conduct courtesy call, site validation and seedkit delivery in Dinganen, Buldon, Maguindanao for Participatory Performance Testing and Validation (PPTV) trial under Nextgen Project in BARMM on September 2, 2022.

The research team validated and delivered 2 seedkit, one in rainfed and another one in irrigated ecosystem for wet season this year. The activity aim to find possible site for the establishment of techno demo farm for varietal trials in the region.

The said validation participated by OIC MMO of Buldon Maam Rahima Abubacar, Brgy officials headed by Hon. Rufo Capada, Hon. Neil Hortelano Brgy kagawad in Agriculture, farmers and researchers from MAFAR Research.

Conduct Training on Community-based Participatory Planning August 22-26 2022.

The Community-base Participatory Planning aimed to addressing real community problems and assisting affected population to find their own solutions and linking people together to understand the community landscape including the natural resources of their respective Barangay and providing the entry point scaling up development initiatives.

This is in connection to the request of Local Government Unit of Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao after conducting the coordination meeting to enhance their Barangay Development Plan and Comprehensive Development Plan.

Conduct site validation at Labio, Northern KABUNTALAN , Maguindanao this August 22, 2022

Research Associates from Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Agrarian Reform Integrated Agricultural Research Center (MAFAR-BARMMIARC) conduct site validation to determine possible sites for the demonstration trial this wet season 2022 under Nextgen Project in BARMM. The establishment and implementation was done to test which among the varieties perform and got higher yield as affected by different factors (biotic and abiotic).

The sites was successfully validated at the same time research Associates also discussed to the farmer-cooperator about the project guidelines and protocols.

Community Based Participatory Planning Training of Trainers (CBPP-TOT) in the Municipality of Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao last August 15-18, 2022💚

The four days training composed of ten (10) participants from different sectors in the said Municipality. This training include eight (8) steps such as Community profiling, identifying problems and shucks, livelihood activities,Seasonality and adoption of coping strategies, Institution and other Actors in community, Understanding the landscape and community mapping, understanding and creating vision,goals, and setting up of priorities and interventions, Community action plan and finalization of community development plan.

This training facilitated by WFP, MAFAR, MENRE and BPDA.
