𝐃𝐒𝐒𝐂-𝐂𝐄𝐁 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠.

Davao del Sur State College - Central Electoral Board (DSSC-CEB) successfully conducted the evaluation and planning meeting on November 11, 2023, at Zen Heart’s Resort, Kapatagan, Digos City, Davao del Sur.

Keth Ly C. Nuevo, CEB Chairperson, presided the meeting and attended by all CEB members from DSSC main and extension campuses.

This meeting comprehensively reviewed the previous election procedures, as well as the identification of strengths and weaknesses as areas for improvements in the ex*****on of election-related tasks. An analysis of feedback and suggestions from the team members were also carried out.

Subsequently, an in-depth discussion on proposed amendments to the Omnibus Election Code (OEC) concerning to the succession of the vacancies, elective positions, and the selection/re-organization of the CEB officials were then thoroughly discussed. The examination of legal implications of the OEC provisions and its potential impacts on the electoral processes, which led to a consensus-building among the members on recommended changes were also covered.

Meanwhile, Mr. Shawn Medina, CEB Adviser, spearheaded the strategic planning for the upcoming election, including the definition and allocation of roles and responsibilities to the committee members, as well as the clarification of expectation of the assigned task.

Further, this meeting addressed matters related to the proposed organizational structure of the Supreme Student Council (SSC) and the Local Supreme Council (LSC) which will be lobbied or presented to the Office of the SSC and Office of the Student Affairs and Services (OSAS). Moreover, an additional election activity such as Presidential and Senatorial debate was reconsidered.

The oath-taking ceremony took place on June 29, 2023, in the presence of Sir Shawn Medina, Sir Roy Molina, Dr. Jeric Anthony Arnado, and our Honorable SSC President Jhon Kenan Baran.

We would like to inform you that the DSSC-Sulop Extension Committee on Elections is now accepting applications for the SESS (Sulop Extension Student Society) Officer positions for the academic year 2023-2024. The purpose of this selection process is to promote the continuous development of leadership skills among our student body and to encourage a passion for service and a commitment to supporting the growth of fellow learners.

All eligible students who possess the necessary skills, qualifications, and commitment are encouraged to submit their applications, which should include their achievements, qualifications, and vision for their potential role as SESS officers.

Furthermore, we are pleased to announce that the filing of candidacies for the SESS election for the school year 2023-2024 is now officially open. The following positions are available for interested candidates:
