On behalf of Calapandayan Integrated School, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our guest speaker Madam Abegail M. Dela Cruz.
Your words have enlightened and encouraged our students to dream bigger and work harder. Thank you for being a part of this memorable experience.
Here is an excerpts of her speech.
“You cannot control or dictate the opinions and attitudes of other people.
All you can do is live your best life, be a decent person, and live and speak with integrity.”
“The bad news is, everything is temporary.
Which is also the good news.
So if things are going good, enjoy it.
It won't last forever.
And if things are going bad, don't worry too much.
It won't last forever.”
“Life will not always be happy. Life will not always be easy.
But difficulty is not the end of your story. Your story will be defined by three things:
Your decisions. Your effort. And your character.
And if you carry those with you, then I truly believe that you are exactly what this graduation theme says:
Filipino Graduates - prepared to lead with competence and character.
Sa Tagalog:
Pilipinong Nagsipagtapos: Handang mamuno nang may kakayahan at mabuting pagkatao.”
“at the end of the day, your life is your responsibility.
At kapag sinabi po nating responsibility, it always comes with accountability.
And that is where leadership begins.
Hindi po kapag madali ang lahat.
Hindi po kapag maayos ang takbo ng buhay.
Kundi kapag hinahamon ka ng buhay at pinipili mong tumayo, lumaban, at magpatuloy.”
“being a leader is not about having a perfect story.
It's about having the courage to take responsibility for your story
and still choose to move forward.”
“Life will not always go according to your plans.
But your response will always define your future.”
“Do not let excitement make you announce things prematurely.
Stay low key. Move silently, until your results can no longer be denied.”
