Today, Calombuyan Elementary School celebrated its School-Based Teachers’ Day Celebration, a heartwarming occasion honoring the dedication, patience, and unwavering commitment of our dear teachers.

Adding joy and warmth to the celebration were the thoughtful surprises prepared by our learners for their beloved teachers. From simple gestures to heartfelt messages and surprises, every effort beautifully expressed their gratitude for the teachers who continue to guide, inspire, and believe in them.

ARAL READING SESSION | WEEK 1

Calombuyan Elementary School successfully conducted the Week 1 ARAL Reading Sessions, providing our learners with meaningful opportunities to strengthen their reading skills and develop greater confidence in reading.

Through engaging and learner-centered reading activities, our ARAL learners are guided to improve their reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and love for reading.

KAINANG PAMILYA MAHALAGA DAY 2026

Ngayong Lunes, September 28, 2026, nakikiisa ang Calombuyan Elementary School sa pagdiriwang ng Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day, bilang bahagi ng paggunita sa ika-34 na National Family Week.

Ang sama-samang pagkain ng pamilya ay simpleng gawain na may malaking kahulugan—pagkakataon upang mag-usap, makinig, magbahagi ng kwento, at higit sa lahat, patatagin ang pagmamahalan at samahan ng bawat miyembro ng pamilya.

Sa pamamagitan ng Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day, hinihikayat natin ang bawat pamilya ng Calombuyan Elementary School na maglaan ng oras para sa isa't isa at gawing makabuluhan ang bawat pagsasalo sa hapag.

Sapagkat sa bawat salu-salo, mas pinatitibay ang pamilya; at sa matatag na pamilya, mas nagiging matatag ang ating mga anak at komunidad.

ARAL PROGRAM KICK-OFF | September 28, 2026

Calombuyan Elementary School officially conducted the kick off and opening ceremony of the ARAL (Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning) Program today, September 28, 2026, an initiative dedicated to helping learners strengthen their foundational reading skills and build greater confidence in reading.

The kick-off program was led by our School ARAL Focal Person, Ma’am Johanelyn V. Piol, and commenced with the distribution of ARAL learning materials to the identified ARAL Reading learners. This was followed by the conduct of the First Day of the ARAL Reading Program, facilitated by our dedicated Reading Teacher funded by LGU, Ma’am Khryzel Ann Gutierrez.

Through the collaborative efforts of our teachers, tutors, parents, and learners, we continue to provide meaningful opportunities for every child to catch up, learn, and grow.

Together, let us ARAL, READ, and RISE!

Calombuyan Elementary School conducted the distribution of the Feeding Program to all Kindergarten and Grade 1 learners, as well as severely wasted learners from Grades 2 to 6, identified based on the school’s Nutritional Status Report.

This initiative is carried out pursuant to Republic Act No. 11037, also known as the “Masustansyang Pagkain para sa Batang Pilipino Act,” which aims to address hunger and malnutrition among school children through the provision of nutritious meals.

Through this program, we continue to promote proper nutrition, healthy growth, and improved well-being among our learners, helping them stay healthy, active, and ready to learn.

SCHOOL ACTIVE THREAT DRILL | SEPTEMBER 22, 2026

Calombuyan Elementary School successfully conducted its School Active Threat Drill on September 22, 2026, in partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP) – Sual Police Station, as part of the school’s continuing commitment to strengthen preparedness, awareness, and safety among its school community.

The activity commenced with a brief orientation for the teaching and non-teaching personnel, led by our partner PNP officers, highlighting the proper safety protocols and appropriate actions to take during an active threat situation. The orientation was immediately followed by the actual drill, wherein the school personnel and learners demonstrated the necessary response procedures.

The drill concluded with the announcement that the area was clear, after which parents were allowed to safely fetch their children. Following the activity, an evaluation and assessment was conducted by the assigned PNP officials to provide feedback and identify areas for improvement in the school’s emergency preparedness and response.
