Hello everyone! Never too late to congratulate all passers of the September 2024 Social Worker Licensure Examination (SWLE). Kudos to all passers who made it to the top ten. And also to the top performing schools. It really came as a pleasant surprise for the Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) in Assumption College of Davao (ACD) to be. recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) XI as the top ten in the 20-50 category. How is that for a small and silent BSSW program in ACD? By now, all passers await their oath taking ceremony. By then, they will be declared full-fledged Registered Social Workers (RSW). Well, here's a pic of the tribute given by ACD management to their alumni passers of the SWLE.

We are back with Nature Talks! In this episode we will be talking about THE talking bird - the critically endangered Palawan Hill Mynah. This bird is famous for its uncanny ability to mimic speech and different sounds.

The Palawan Hill Mynah is an an integral part of its ecosystem. Sadly, it is popular in the wildlife trade. As such, it is now considered critically endangered in the wild, just like the Philippine Eagle.

But why is that? How could one of the most common birds we see today in households be endangered. And how has their dwindling numbers affect the ecosystem that they are a part of? Find out this Saturday at 8pm!
