LUES Honors Early Risers

La Union Elementary School celebrated punctuality and dedication during its flag ceremony, awarding Certificates of Recognition to deserving teachers and students who consistently arrived early throughout the month of July.

The awards were presented by Mrs. Jelly T. Dansigan, School WATCH Coordinator, together with the Principal, Mr. Rodel T. Impas.

To honor their exemplary commitment to promptness, the recognized teachers received Certificates of Recognition along with special tokens of appreciation. The awarded teachers are:

LUES Celebrates Holy Mass

August 14, 2026 — The school community gathered for a Holy Mass today at 2:35 p.m., celebrated by Rev. Fr. George C. Cajes Jr., DCM, as part of the school’s preparation for the start of Religion classes.

The Mass provided students, teachers, and staff with an opportunity for prayer, reflection, and spiritual preparation before the regular Religion classes begin next week.

Starting Friday, August 21, 2026, Religion classes will be conducted every Friday from 2:35 p.m. to 3:35 p.m. The weekly schedule aims to strengthen the students’ faith formation, deepen their understanding of Christian values, and encourage them to practice these values in their daily lives.

Today’s Eucharistic celebration marked a meaningful beginning to the school’s continuing faith-formation activities for the academic year.

SLAC Session Highlights Collaborative Efforts in Addressing Learning Gaps

The School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) Session entitled “Addressing Learning Gaps: A Collaborative Remediation Planning” was successfully conducted yesterday at 3:35 in the afternoon, focusing on strengthening teachers’ capacity in analyzing assessment results and developing appropriate intervention strategies to address learners’ needs.

The session was facilitated by Mrs. Daisy Jean O. Sab, Master Teacher II, who served as the resource speaker. She discussed essential topics including the preparation of the Summative Test and Table of Specifications (TOS), proper test result analysis, and the development of effective remediation and intervention plans. The discussion emphasized the importance of using assessment data as a basis for identifying learning gaps and implementing targeted strategies to improve learner outcomes.

The activity provided teachers with valuable insights and practical approaches in designing responsive interventions that support diverse learning needs. Through collaborative sharing and professional dialogue, participants gained a deeper understanding of how assessment practices can guide instructional decisions and enhance teaching effectiveness.

The SLAC Session was spearheaded by the School LAC Coordinator, Mrs. Edsan C. Ojanola, with the guidance and support of School Principal I, Mr. Rodel T. Impas. The initiative reflects the school’s continuous commitment to promoting professional growth among teachers and ensuring quality, learner-centered education through collaborative and data-driven practices.

Pambungad na Pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika 2026, Matagumpay na Isinagawa

Matagumpay na isinagawa ngayong araw ang Pambungad na Pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika 2026, na naglalayong itaguyod ang pagmamahal, pagpapahalaga, at patuloy na pagpapaunlad sa wikang Filipino bilang mahalagang bahagi ng pagkakakilanlan at kultura ng sambayanang Pilipino.

Ang pagdiriwang ngayong taon ay nakabatay sa opisyal na tema ng Buwan ng Wika 2026 na “Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon,” na nagbibigay-diin sa makabagong papel ng wikang Filipino sa panahon ng teknolohiya at artificial intelligence. Itinatampok nito ang kahalagahan ng paggamit ng wika bilang daan sa pagkuha ng kaalaman, pagsasagawa ng pananaliksik, at paglinang ng makabagong kasanayan ng mga mag-aaral.

Ang programa ay pinangunahan ni Binibining Renny Jay M. Villacorte, Pampaaralang Tagapag-ugnay sa Filipino, na nagbigay-diin sa kahalagahan ng patuloy na paggamit, pagpapayaman, at pagpapahalaga sa wikang Filipino bilang salamin ng kasaysayan, kultura, at pagkakaisa ng bansa.

Bilang pagpapakita ng suporta sa pagdiriwang, nakiisa ang mga g**o sa pamamagitan ng pagsusuot ng Filipiniana at Barong Tagalog, na sumisimbolo sa kagandahan, dangal, at mayamang tradisyon ng kulturang Pilipino.

Ang nasabing gawain ay nagsilbing makabuluhang paalala na ang wikang Filipino ay patuloy na umuunlad kasabay ng pagbabago ng panahon. Sa pagsasanib ng wika at teknolohiya, higit na nabibigyang pagkakataon ang bawat Pilipino na makilahok sa paglikha, pagbabahagi, at pagpapalawak ng kaalaman.

Sa pagbubukas ng Buwan ng Wika 2026, muling ipinakita ng buong pamayanan ng paaralan ang kanilang pakikiisa sa pagpapanatili ng buhay ng wikang Filipino at pagsusulong nito bilang mahalagang kasangkapan sa pagkatuto, pananaliksik, at pagharap sa hamon ng makabagong panahon.

Special Flag Raising Ceremony Held in Celebration of ASEAN Month 2026

August 3, 2026 — In observance of ASEAN Month 2026 with the theme “Navigating Our Future, Together,”a Special Flag Raising Ceremony was successfully conducted, highlighting the importance of unity, cooperation, and shared aspirations among ASEAN member nations.

The activity was led by the School Araling Panlipunan Coordinator, Mrs. Gilda M. Alforque, Master Teacher II, who emphasized the significance of strengthening learners’ awareness and appreciation of ASEAN’s vision, culture, and regional partnerships.

The ceremony featured the singing of the official ASEAN Anthem, “The ASEAN Way,”which symbolized solidarity and friendship among ASEAN nations. This was followed by the presentation of the ASEAN 2026 Official Song, “One Vision, One Ocean,” showcasing the shared commitment of ASEAN countries toward a united and sustainable future.

Adding color and cultural significance to the celebration, teachers participated by wearing ASEAN traditional or ASEAN-inspired attire, reflecting the diverse heritage, customs, and traditions of the region.

The Special Flag Raising Ceremony served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of collaboration, respect for cultural diversity, and collective action as the ASEAN community continues to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the future together.

Unity, grit, and athletic prowess took center stage last Saturday, July 25, 2026, as La Union Elementary School and Dela Peña Narisma Recaño Elementary School competed in this year's Zonal Meet.

More than just a showcase of sports skills, the event highlighted the strong bond, respect, and camaraderie shared between our schools.
