𝙍𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 is not just a tool in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy; it is the core principle used to shape behavior and teach new skills.
It means giving a child something they like or enjoy after they do a desired behavior, so they are more likely to do that behavior again.
𝘼𝙣 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙚: Only reinforce the behavior you want to see.
If a child screams to get a toy and immediately receives the toy, the child may learn:
“Screaming gets me what I want.”
𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧: 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩
A reinforcer that works for one child may not work for another. Find out what the child actually enjoys, and use that as motivation.

Today, our ABA Center for Autism and Related Disorders - TUPI BRANCH proudly joined the street parade in celebration of the Agten Tufi Festival and the 73rd Foundation Anniversary of Tupi! 🎊💙

It was a wonderful opportunity for our team to come together, celebrate with the community, and show our support for the people of Tupi. More than a celebration, we are reminded that every child, regardless of ability, deserves to be included, supported, and given the opportunity to shine. 🌈✨
