Life With Ausome Clyde
Raising awareness and celebrating neurodiversity one day at a time. Follow for glimpses of our authentic, ausome life with Clyde.
My child may communicate differently, play differently, and learn differently.
But they love, dream, and shine just like any other child.
Let’s choose understanding over judgment.
Many autistic people find direct eye contact uncomfortable, overwhelming, or distracting. Looking from the side reduces that intensity.
Hand flapping involves:
• Rapidly moving hands up and down
• Flicking fingers
• Waving hands near the face
• Shaking wrists while excited
It may happen when someone is:
• Excited or happy
• Overwhelmed or anxious
• Frustrated
• Trying to focus
• Experiencing sensory overload
Autism isn’t something to “fix.”
It’s a different way of thinking, feeling, and experiencing the world.
Today, let’s choose understanding over judgment,
acceptance over assumptions,
and kindness over silence. 💙
