A proud milestone achieved!
Our Grade 12 GAS students have successfully defended their research during the Final Defense held on March 9--a testament to their dedication, perseverance, and academic growth.
This accomplishment would not have been possible without the guidance of their research adviser, Sir Reymart Bustamante, and the insightful expertise of our esteemed panel members: Sir Esmeraldo Fulgar, Sir Milven Estrada, and Dr. James Christian D. Nabong.
With the strong support and supervision of our school head, Sir Markson B. Mejia, this event stands as a celebration of excellence, collaboration, and the pursuit of knowledge.
Congratulations, researchers! Your hard work has truly paid off. 🎓📚✨

International Day of Mathematics (also known as Pi Day) is celebrated every March 14 around the world. 📐➗
Why March 14?
It is celebrated on March 14 (3/14) because the date represents the first digits of π (pi) = 3.14, an important number in mathematics used to calculate the circumference and area of circles.
Who Proclaimed It?
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) officially proclaimed the International Day of Mathematics in 2019 to promote the importance of mathematics in science, technology, engineering, and everyday life.
Purpose of the Celebration
The day aims to:
• Encourage interest and enjoyment in mathematics among students.
• Highlight the role of mathematics in innovation and development.
• Show how math is used in daily life, science, engineering, and technology.
Gatbo National High School joins the Celebration of International Math Day through conducting interactive, fun and stimulating activity. This year’s School-based Math Day Celebration has the theme “Math in Motion-Thinking, Creating and Innovating”. The highlights of the event include Grade Level Quizbee, e-modulo arts contest, Poster Making Contest and Math Showcase. Each student was given the opportunity to demonstrate their critical thinking and innovative skills through participating in these activities.
