April 9 marks the annual observance of Araw ng Kagitingan, a day dedicated to the memory of the Filipino and American forces who served during the Fall of Bataan in 1942. This historic event serves as a reminder of the immense sacrifice and resilience shown by the veterans who endured the hardships of the Second World War.
The courage displayed on the battlefields and during the Bataan Death March continues to be a cornerstone of the national identity. By reflecting on this chapter of history, the youth and the student community can draw inspiration from the values of duty and perseverance that defined that generation.
This commemoration is a tribute to all veterans whose service secured the foundations of the nation's freedom. ๐ต๐ญ

Long before colonial rule reshaped our archipelago, the babaylans stood at the core of community life. They were recognized as healers, decision-makers, spiritual guides, and the keepers of our collective memory. Above all, they embodied courage, deep wisdom, and a commitment to service.
At SorSU USC, we believe that support is more than just a post; itโs about making sure every woman on this university has the space to lead, the right to be heard, and the power to thrive. Whether you are nurturing a community or breaking a glass ceiling, your leadership is what moves us forward.
