Celebrating the 2nd Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremony of Batch Axis 29’ 🕯️

Foreseen by the theme “𝓔𝓣 𝓛𝓤𝓧 𝓘𝓝 𝓣𝓔𝓝𝓔𝓑𝓡𝓘𝓢 𝓛𝓤𝓒𝓔𝓣: Lighting the Flame of Heart, Compassion, and Care in Nursing,” this ceremony reminds us that even amidst uncertainty, compassion continues to illuminate the path we choose. Et Lux in Tenebris Lucet, meaning “the light that shines in the darkness,” speaks of the kind of light that does not merely brighten a room—it restores hope, eases fear, and leads weary hearts toward healing. WE will be the light that will shine through the darkness for we will not cower nor run from it, we will persevere. 💪

As Batch Axis 29’, we stand as the steadfast point from which purpose, knowledge, and compassion meet. Do you remember what an axis means? It is the one that keeps every movement balanced, same with us— we are called to remain grounded in wisdom, strengthened by resilience, and guided by empathy towards those who need it most. With every candle we raise, we carry more than a flame—we carry a promise to become a source of comfort for those facing life's darkest moments. We will be here—kindling that fire just enough so that it does not burn but give warmth in the cold, and LIGHT in the shadows. 🕯️

Inspired by the enduring legacy of Florence Nightingale, the Lady with the Lamp, we step forward with grateful hearts and unwavering commitment, ready to transform learning into service and service into healing. Let the Light shine in your hearts and minds for we will continue that legacy that Nightingale left. We are the Nightingale’s of Sorsogon—heed the call and responsibility of becoming a 𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐍𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐄. 🧑‍⚕️

The 𝐁𝐒𝐍 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝟑 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 – 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬’ 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐏𝐍𝐒𝐀) 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 are grateful to have been given the opportunity to volunteer alongside the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 – 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 and other dedicated volunteers and healthcare professionals during the Medical and Dental Mission organized by 𝐒𝐌 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐜., in partnership with 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, held on 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗠 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗴𝗼𝗻. 🏥🩺❤️

With the goal to bring quality services closer to the community. This mission brought free consultation, medicines, dental, and other essential services to its beneficiaries. 💊🦷

As student nurses, we realized that 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚. 🌱 When beneficiaries shared “𝗡𝗮𝗴𝗸𝗮𝗱𝗶 𝗸𝗮𝗺𝗶 𝗸𝗮𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗲”, our role was not just to provide free healthcare services, but it was to ensure that they felt seen, heard, and cared for. By the end of the intervention, those words turned into grateful expressions of "𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗼" reminding us that we go beyond fulfilling clinical hours, it's about meeting people where they are, offering comfort, knowledge, and putting genuine compassion into practice. 🫶🩺

This experience once again opened our hearts and minds as we witnessed the value of collaboration and compassion in bringing healthcare services accessible to the community. 𝘼 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤 𝙠𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙗𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙗𝙪𝙩𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡-𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨. ✨👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who dropped by our booth and took the time to experience what we had prepared, from getting your vital signs, blood type, and blood sugar checked, to simply stopping by, joining our activities, and sharing a little bit of your time with us.

Your smiles, excitement, and willingness to participate made all the preparation worth it. To every freshmen and students who visited, you made our booth extra sweet! And to everyone behind the booth who poured their time, effort, and heart into making this happen, this sweet success is ours to celebrate!
