𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝐂𝐄-𝐌𝐔𝐋𝐀 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 🏗️📸

A meaningful beginning to a new chapter in the world of Civil Engineering! ✨

The 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐒𝐔–𝐀𝐂𝐄𝐒 successfully held 𝐂𝐄-𝐌𝐔𝐋𝐀, a freshman orientation on 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, at the 𝐂𝐄 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲. The event brought together first-year Civil Engineering students, CE faculty members, and alumni for a meaningful introduction to the academic and professional journey ahead.

The orientation gave the freshmen a glimpse into the Civil Engineering program, introduced the CE Faculty, and provided an overview of the campus buildings and facilities. It also highlighted the different organizations within the CE community, encouraging students to connect, participate, and become more involved in their new academic environment.

Adding to the experience were interactive activities and intermission performances. A Q&A session was also held, where CE faculty members and alumni addressed the frequently asked questions and concerns of the incoming students, providing them with valuable guidance and insights as they begin their journey in the field of Civil Engineering.

The highlight of the event was the sharing of experiences and insights from students across different year levels and CE alumni. Through their personal stories, lessons, and practical advice, they gave the freshmen a glimpse into the challenges, opportunities, and realities of the Civil Engineering field, helping them gain a deeper perspective on the journey ahead.

More than just an orientation, 𝐂𝐄-𝐌𝐔𝐋𝐀 served as a welcoming space where freshmen could build connections, gain valuable insights, and take their first steps toward becoming future civil engineers. 👷🏻‍♀️👷🏻‍♂️✨

𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗢𝗬 𝗔𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗡𝗢 𝗗𝗔𝗬: 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙤𝙢 🇵🇭

Every 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟭, we pause to honor the memory of former Senator 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼 “𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘆” 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗝𝗿., whose death became a defining moment in Philippine history. Forty-two years ago, Ninoy stepped onto the tarmac of the Manila International Airport after years of exile, determined to return and stand with the Filipino people. Moments later, he was assassinated—an act meant to silence him, but which instead awakened a nation.

Today, as we face new challenges, Ninoy’s sacrifice reminds us that democracy is never handed down easily—it is earned, defended, and continually safeguarded by every generation. His courage stands as a testament that freedom has a price, and it is now our duty to live by the principle that the Filipino is worth fighting for.

Every hero has a first day, and for our newest 𝗖𝗘-𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, theirs began with a day full of new faces, new experiences, and brand-new memories with the 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝗦𝗨–𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗦 family. 💙

From exploring the campus through the freshmen campus tour to taking on games and activities at our CE-lubong booth, discovering merchandise and products from fellow CE students, and cooling down with some free ice cream, the first day was packed with moments worth remembering. 📸✨

But the 𝗖𝗘-𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 didn’t end there! As our 𝘗𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘐𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘳, 𝙆𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝘿𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙤𝙡, caught up with some of our CE-blings for a fun round of “𝟱 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗖𝗘 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁”, sharing their must-haves, recommendations, and maybe a few things every future engineer should consider adding to their web-slinging toolkit. 🧰

And the perfect ending to the day? Taking home the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗮𝗴 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀! 🏆🌟

From exciting games and challenges to moments shared with fellow CE-blings, here’s a glimpse of how we welcomed the new academic year together!

The 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐒𝐔–𝐀𝐂𝐄𝐒 set the CE community in motion through the 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐂𝐄-𝐋𝐔𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. The event featured various booths, including exciting game booths, merchandise booths, and local business booths. Students also enjoyed free ice cream, which was available for both freshmen and upperclassmen, making the celebration even more enjoyable for everyone.
