On April 22–24, 2026, Dr. Nilda H. Deyto, Principal of The Lewis College, was awarded Best Paper and Best Research Presenter at the LIRIP 9: Pambansang Kumperensiya sa Filipino, held at the Harvester Corporate Center, Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino Satellite Office in Cubao, Quezon City. Her study, “Isinakomiks na Kuwentong-Salaysay ni Señor San Roque Bilang Pantulong na Kagamitan sa Pagtuturo,” was recognized for its outstanding quality and impact, bringing honor to the institution and affirming its commitment to research excellence.

With the theme “Wikang Filipino sa Edukasyon at Pananaliksik para sa Likas-kayang Kinabukasan,” the conference was organized by the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino, Lumina Foundation for Integral Human Development, and the Network of Professional Researchers and Educators. Educators and researchers nationwide gathered for plenary sessions, presentations, and discussions that promoted collaboration, innovation, and the advancement of Filipino language and education toward a sustainable future.
