TEACHERS, HERE’S A TIP IF YOU’RE GETTING LOW BOOKINGS

We want to share something that came directly from our Chinese managers. This is not the only way to increase your bookings, but it is one of the things that can make a difference.

Some of the teachers with high booking rates stand out because they are more proactive and dedicated.

Here’s what they noticed:

1. They communicate with parents.
They make an effort to give parents feedback about the child’s performance, progress, and areas that need improvement.

2. They prepare beyond the lesson slides.
Some teachers create their own teaching materials to better match the child’s level and needs. ( Chat GPT is the key!)

3. They make their classes engaging.
They don’t simply finish the slides. They find ways to make the lesson more interesting and appropriate for the student.

4. They show commitment.
One manager shared that Teacher Nicole, one of our newly hired teachers, was still writing student feedback at 2:00 AM and had even prepared her own teaching materials for her classes. Teacher Christy is another example. She actively communicates with parents, and the managers noticed this.

The managers also explained something important. They can recommend students, but they cannot directly assign those students to specific teachers. Teachers also need to put in the effort to attract and retain students.

Chinese parents tend to appreciate teachers who are serious, responsive, prepared, and genuinely involved in their child’s learning.

So if you're wondering, “Why do other teachers have more bookings than me?” Don't just wait for students to come. Try being more proactive. Give meaningful feedback. Prepare something extra when needed. Make your classes memorable.
Build a good relationship with parents.

Again, this is only one of many ways to improve your bookings, but it's definitely something worth trying.
