From Thoughts to Crafts: An Arts Infusion Exhibit

CLASH OF THE BANDS (MUSICAL CONTEST)

• The contest is open to all grade12-STEM students.
• A maximum of 5 members per group ONLY is allowed.
• Recorded performance shall run for 3-5 minutes ONLY.
• Performance shall focus on Original Pilipino/Pinoy Music (OPM).
• Three judges shall be invited. Judges’ scores shall be based on the criteria below

CRITERIA:
VOICE QUALITY & CLARITY (Tone, pitch, enunciation, fluency, etc.)

TIMING (Has harmony and synchronization with the band)

STAGE PRESENCE (Shows confidence, exudes appropriate expressions)

SCULPTURE CONTEST

• The contest is open to all grade12-STEM students.
• Any kind of sculpture is allowed (e.g. freestanding, relief, assemblage, kinetic).
• Sculpture must be made of local or recyclable materials or infusion of both.
• Three judges shall be invited. Judges’ scores shall be based on the criteria below

CRITERIA:
USE OF LOCAL/RECYCLABLE MATERIALS

USE OF ELEMENTS AND PRINCIPLES OF VISUAL ARTS (may include but limited to colors, shapes, lines, balance, emphasis, unity)

KNOWLEDGE OF PHYSICS CONCEPTS

APPLICATION OF PHYSICS CONCEPTS

PAINTING CONTEST

Category B (Digital Painting)
• The contest is open to all grade 12-STEM students.
• Painting shall focus on the theme, “Bicolano Arts and its Diversity”.
• ONLY one (1) entry per participant shall be allowed.
• Entries will be printed in an A4 sized photo paper by the organizer and will be displayed during the exhibit for voting and judging.
• All visitors are allowed to cast their votes. Each visitor is entitled with 3 votes (1point and 2 points). These points may be given to a single entry or may be given separately among all entries. Canvassing of votes shall be done at 11:30 am of Day 2.

ORIGINALIY (Infusion of various techniques)

RELEVANCE TO THE THEME (Emphasis and interpretation of the theme)

PAINTING CONTEST

Category A (Manual Painting)

• The contest is open to all grade 12-STEM students.
• Competition is open for individual or by pair.
• Painting shall focus on the theme, “Bicolano Arts and its Diversity”.
• Any medium is allowed.
• 20x16 canvas shall be used for the painting.
• ONLY one (1) entry per individual/pair shall be allowed.
• All materials shall be assumed by the participant/s.
• Entries will also be displayed during the exhibit for voting and judging.
• All visitors are allowed to cast their votes. Each visitor is entitled with 3 votes (1point and 2 points). These points may be given to a single entry or may be given separately among all entries. Canvassing of votes shall be done at 11:30 am of Day 2.

PHOTOSHOOT CHALLENGE

• The contest is open to all grade 12-STEM students.
• A maximum of 5 members per group shall be allowed.
• One (1) member from the group will serve as the subject for the photoshoot.
• Photoshoot shall focus on the theme “Bicolano Arts and its Diversity” with infusion and representation of any literary texts in the Philippines; local text is an advantage.
• Local products and materials shall be included in the photo.
• Showing too much skin of the subject is strictly prohibited. Automatic disqualification shall be imposed if not observed.
• ONLY one (1) photo entry per group shall be allowed.
• Entries will also be displayed during the exhibit for voting and judging.
• All visitors are allowed to cast their votes. Each visitor is entitled with 3 votes (1point and 2 points). These points may be given to a single entry or may be given separately among all entries. Canvassing of votes shall be done at 11:30 am of Day 2.
