On March 8, 2026, the 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 of the 𝑯𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔 (𝑯𝑼𝑴𝑺𝑺) 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒅 successfully conducted the seminar Layag, an initiative dedicated to strengthening awareness and understanding of 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐆𝐀𝐃) among students. The event gathered 𝐇𝐔𝐌𝐒𝐒 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 in a meaningful discussion that promoted inclusivity, equality, and social awareness.

Through insightful discussions and shared perspectives, the seminar provided students with a deeper understanding of gender-related issues and the importance of fostering a community that respects diversity. More than just a learning experience, Layag became a space for reflection, empowerment, and collective growth as Humanities students.

This remarkable event reflects the commitment of the organization to promote knowledge, critical thinking, and social responsibility. Indeed, the ideas and realizations formed during this seminar will continue to inspire students to become advocates of equality and positive social change.

Set sail towards awareness, inclusivity, and empowerment as we proudly launch Layag: Implementing Gender and Development Goals in Sorsogon National High School. This seminar aims to strengthen our understanding of Gender and Development (GAD) while encouraging students to become active advocates of equality, respect, and social responsibility within our community.

Through meaningful discussions and shared learning, Layag will serve as a platform for students to deepen their awareness of gender issues and inspire collective action toward building a more inclusive and progressive environment in our school and society.
