O Mary, beloved Mother of God and our Mother,
on this day we celebrate your holy birth,
a dawn of hope for all humanity.

You were chosen from all women
to bring Jesus, the Light of the world, into our lives.

We thank God for the gift of your life,
so pure, so faithful, so full of grace.

Intercede for us, dear Mother,
that we may follow your example of humility and obedience.

Help us to say “Yes” to God every day,
as you did from the moment of your conception.

May your birth bring peace to our hearts,
healing to our homes,
and hope to the world.
