✨Austism Awareness Week✨

Sorsogon East Central School officially launched its Autism Awareness Week through a meaningful kick-off program that highlighted unity, inclusion, and collective support for learners with autism.

The activity was graced by the presence of the School Principal, Mr. Ernesto D. Deyto, and the EPS/Division SNED Coordinator, Mr. Michael M. Uy. Learners, parents, and teachers actively participated in the program, while various stakeholders extended their support through their valuable contributions to the success of the activity.

The kick-off activities included a Zumba session at Rompeolas, Community Walk, and a shared breakfast prepared by parents, fostering camaraderie and strengthening partnerships among all participants.

This event marks the beginning of a week-long celebration dedicated to promoting autism awareness and inclusive education

Sorsogon East Central School successfully conducted its Capacity-Building of SECS Teachers last December 19, 2025 @ Casa Dominga, bringing together our dedicated educators for a meaningful day of learning, reflection, and fellowship.

The activity aimed to strengthen professional skills, foster collaboration, and uplift teacher well-being, especially as we close the year with gratitude and renewed purpose. It also provided a warm space to celebrate achievements, share experiences, and reinforce our commitment to quality education for every learner.

A highlight of the program was the heartfelt honoring of our retiree, Ma’am Gemma Ofracio, whose years of dedicated service, love, and unwavering commitment to education continue to inspire the SECS community.

We were also honored by the presence of our Special Guest, Sir William E. Gando, CESO VI, Schools Division Superintendent, who delivered an encouraging and insightful message that motivated our teachers to remain steadfast in excellence and service.

Adding joy and excitement to the celebration were the abundant raffle prizes for teachers, making the activity both enriching and truly festive.

With shared learning, appreciation, and the spirit of Christmas, SECS teachers move forward more inspired, united, and empowered to serve our learners and community.
