The Personnel Management Center, Philippine Army, thru our Army Recruitment Office – Luzon is in the process of recruiting individuals with potentials to become a Commissioned Officers through the Officer Candidate Course (OCC) and Candidate Soldier Course as a pre-commission training for the Philippine Army. The Army is offering the opportunity to the eligible youth of Bicol Region in the conduct of Pre-Entry Exam (P*E) for the OCC and CSC quota.

‎In solemn observance of the 84th Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor), the Sorsogon State University ROTC Unit, representing the City, Bulan, and Castilla campuses, actively participated in the 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗱 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 and 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝗴 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 held on 09 April 2026 at Plaza Rizal, Capitol Compound, Sorsogon City.

‎Led by the 505th Community Defense Center (505CDC) under Major Kathleen R Endrano PA, the event brought together uniformed personnel, government agencies, and the academe to honor the heroism of Filipino veterans. The SorSU cadets stood alongside the 22nd Infantry Battalion and other partner institutions, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to national pride and the spirit of volunteerism.

‎Through this participation, the SorSU ROTC Unit continues to uphold the values of discipline, nationalism, and service, ensuring that the legacy of bravery left by our ancestors remains alive in the hearts of today's youth.

‎In a grand celebration of 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗨𝗣𝗔𝗥 2026 the Advance Cadet Officers of 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 rendered a 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔 and 𝑬𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔 during the SorSU Alumni Homecoming, held on 04 April 2026, at the SorSU City Campus Grounds.

‎The 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 successfully conducted its 9th Training Day on 28–29 March 2026, which commenced with a solemn 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐠 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 in observance of 𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗖 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗛 2026 in front of the Department of Education – Division of Sorsogon, Balogo, Sorsogon City, alongside the 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐜. 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 and the 𝟓𝟎𝟓𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫. ‎As the unit moves closer to 𝗥𝗔𝗔𝗧𝗜 2026, cadets intensified their preparations across two venues, showcasing sharp focus, precision, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

‎Training was strategically split between two locations to maximize efficiency: at the 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗴𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅, the unit refined its field ex*****on through a 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞, 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫, and intricate 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬. Cadets also sharpened their tactical and technical skills, engaging in 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐓𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 (SUT), 𝐌𝐚𝐩 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐞 & 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐞 and both 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐢𝐝 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.

‎Meanwhile, the academic foundation of the corps was solidified at the 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝗦𝗨 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀, where cadets underwent a 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦 to validate their mastery of military science and regulations. Cadets were also tasked to fill-out the needed information on their Report Cards on Saturday afternoon.
