The 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 held its 14𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐲 on 10 May 2026. The training day began with the checking of attendance to ensure the presence and accounting of all cadets before proceeding with the scheduled activities.

Following the attendance check, the main lecture on 𝐒𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐝 𝐓𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 / 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 was delivered by 𝐂𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐃 𝐆𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐂 (𝐎𝐒) 𝐏𝐀. He discussed the core principles of squad movements, field tactics, and individual combat discipline necessary for operational efficiency.

After the tactical session, 𝐒𝐠𝐭 𝐍𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐈 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐲𝐨 lectured on the fundamentals of 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐓𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠. Following the discussion, the cadets engaged in a practical application to demonstrate their proficiency and ensure they could properly execute the techniques.

The training day was successfully conducted under the supervision of 𝐂𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐃 𝐆𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐂 (𝐎𝐒) 𝐏𝐀. Their guidance ensured that all lectures and practical exercises were carried out in an orderly and professional manner.

By mastering these tactical skills and knot-tying techniques, the cadets have strengthened their readiness and capability to work effectively as a coordinated team.

Selected Advance Cadet Officers of the 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐒𝐔) 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 performed the traditional 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 during the 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐝-𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 of 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐑𝐮𝐟𝐨 𝐃. 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 on 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, at the 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐒𝐔 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭.

Under the supervision of 𝐂/𝐂𝐎𝐋 𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐄 𝐋 𝐉𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐄 𝟏𝐂𝐋 (𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫), the unit also provided safety and security assistance throughout the event. Their disciplined presence ensured an orderly and secure environment, allowing the program to proceed smoothly in honor of the celebrant.

By executing the Arch of Swords, the cadets rendered a meaningful tribute to 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧, symbolizing honor and protection as he transitions to a new chapter. The unit’s involvement reflects their continuous dedication to the university community and the preservation of military customs.

Selected Advance Cadet Officers of the Sorsogon State University ROTC Unit rendered Entrance of Colors during the 9th Moving-Up Ceremony of the SorSU Laboratory High School (LHS), with the theme "𝑯𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒔𝒚𝒐𝒏 𝒏𝒈 𝑴𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒈𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒖𝒆ñ𝒐: 𝑲𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒂 𝑰𝒏𝒐𝒃𝒂𝒔𝒚𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒕 𝑷𝒂𝒈𝒃𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒈𝒐," under the supervision of 𝐂/𝐋𝐓𝐂 𝐉𝐎𝐒𝐇𝐔𝐀 𝐎 𝐅𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐀 𝟏𝐂𝐋.

The ceremony was held at the Sorsogon Cultural Center. Atty. Trexie Pepito from the Commission on Audit, a distinguished alumna of SorSU LHS, served as the guest speaker. The event marked an important milestone for the Grade 10 students as they move forward in their academic journey.

The ROTC Unit provided ceremonial support to ensure the program was conducted with order and formality.

Selected Advance Cadet Officers of the 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 successfully rendered ceremonial support during the opening of 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐤 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 on 04 May 2026 at the SorSU Covered Court. Under the leadership of 𝐂/𝐂𝐎𝐋 𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐄 𝐋 𝐉𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐄 𝟏𝐂𝐋 (𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫), the cadets led the 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐬 and the 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐬 to formally start the event.

The activity, themed "𝑬𝒍𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒖𝒎: 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑬𝒍𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑻𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆," was organized by the Future Educators' Guild (FEG) to celebrate and strengthen the unity of student teachers within the College of Teacher Education (CoTEd).
Moreover, the activity was successfully conducted under the supervision of 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐁 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐚 (𝐈𝐧𝐟) 𝐏𝐀, together with the Graduate Military Assistants (GMAs) and Advance Cadet Officers, ensuring the smooth and orderly flow of the ceremony.

The 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 held its 13𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐲 on 03 May 2026. The training focused on the essential role of communication in military operations to ensure the effective flow of information.

The main lecture on 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 was delivered by 𝐂𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐃 𝐆𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐂 (𝐎𝐒) 𝐏𝐀. He discussed the different methods of sending information from one person or place to another. The session covered important topics such as the Means of Communication, Tactical Radio Sets, and the Principal Means of Communication used in the field.

After the lecture he then, demonstrated how a radio works and the proper way to use it. This gave the cadets a clear understanding of how to maintain contact and coordinate during tactical activities.

The training day was supervised by 𝐂𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐃 𝐆𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐂 (𝐎𝐒) 𝐏𝐀 and 𝐒𝐠𝐭 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐁 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐚 (𝐈𝐧𝐟) 𝐏𝐀, with the assistance of the Graduate Military Assistants (GMAs). Their guidance ensured that the demonstration and lectures were conducted in an orderly and professional manner.

By learning these signal techniques, the cadets have strengthened their ability to communicate effectively, which is vital for teamwork and mission success.

‎In support of environmental preservation and community service, the Advance and Basic Cadets of 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭, together with the 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬, and 𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐏 𝐂𝐖𝐓𝐒 & 𝐋𝐓𝐒 students, actively participated in the 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻-𝘂𝗽 held on 02 May 2026 at Barangay Bulabog, Sorsogon City.

The 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 conducted its 12𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐲 on 26 April 2026 at the SorSU Covered Court. The activity began with the standard assembly and attendance check to ensure all cadets were ready for the day's lessons.

The first lecture was about 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬, taught by 𝐒𝐠𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝐆 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬). He discussed 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 and 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠, teaching the cadets how to stay safe and find their way in the wild using simple methods.

This was followed by a lecture and demonstration on 𝐌𝐚𝐩 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 and 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 by 𝐒𝐠𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐭𝐚𝐝 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬). After learning the basics, the cadets performed a practical exercise where they applied these skills to navigate through specific areas.

The training day was supervised by 𝐒𝐠𝐭 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐁 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐚 (𝐈𝐧𝐟) 𝐏𝐀, together with the Graduate Military Assistants (GMAs) and Advance Cadet Officers, ensuring all activities were safe and well-organized.

Through this training, the cadets gained important field skills and showed great discipline in learning how to handle outdoor challenges.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 || 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝗦𝘂 𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗖 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The Advance Cadet Officers of the 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 successfully rendered ceremonial participation, safety and security assistance, and overall event support during 𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 held on 20-23 April 2026. Under the leadership of 𝗖/𝗖𝗢𝗟 𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗘 𝗟 𝗝𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗘 (𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘱𝘴 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳), the cadets worked diligently to ensure the success, order, and smooth flow of the four-day event for all participants and guests.

The event, themed "𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑵𝒖𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝑰𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒔 𝒃𝒚 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒇𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑽𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑬𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝑺𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑻𝒆𝒄𝒉 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆," brought together students and future innovators in celebration of technology, leadership, and academic excellence within the SorSu community.

The unit played a significant role in the event’s official ceremonies and evening activities. On the opening day, the cadets led the 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔 and performed the 𝑬𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔 to formally commence the celebration. They also provided safety and security during the 𝗠𝗿. 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘀. 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 held at the SorSU Social Hall, ensuring the smooth and orderly conduct of the program. During the culminating activity, the cadets performed the 𝑬𝒙𝒊𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔 during the 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, marking the formal closing of the successful event.

Through their dedicated service, the ROTC Unit helped the organizers conduct a safe, organized, and memorable celebration. Their commitment allowed participants to focus on learning, collaboration, and innovation, reflecting the cadets’ discipline, professionalism, and unwavering service to the university community.

The Sorsogon State University (SorSU) ROTC Cadet Corps rendered military honors during the wedding ceremony of Mr. & Mrs. Saldo on April 18, 2026, at St. Anthony De Padua Church, Juban, Sorsogon.

Selected cadets performed the traditional Arch of Swords, a time-honored military ritual symbolizing protection, discipline, and the unit's collective blessing upon the newlyweds as they step into their new life together.

The honors continued at the reception with the ceremonial Cutting of the Wedding Cake. Led by C/CPT JOVAN M AQUINO 2CL and C/CPT GLEN D ESPINOSA 2CL, the Saber Ceremony formally welcomed the bride into the military community, symbolizing unity, strength, and a shared commitment to facing life's future challenges side by side.

Under the overall supervision of C/LTC JOSHUA O FELONIA 1CL, the cadets executed both ceremonies with utmost precision and dignity, upholding the proud traditions and professional standards of the military service.
