‎The 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹, in collaboration with the SorSU University Student Council, the Sorsogon State University Biological Society, and The Synthesis, announces the 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 of 𝗧𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝗦𝗨: 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝗦𝗨𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀, originally scheduled as part of our continuing commitment to climate action and sustainability.

While this initiative was envisioned to bring together student leaders in advancing our 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 awareness, appreciation of 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀, and dedication to 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, unforeseen circumstances have led to this decision. Further details regarding the rescheduling, will be communicated in due time.

The 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹, in collaboration with the SorSU University Student Council, the Sorsogon State University Biological Society, and The Synthesis, proudly launches the 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝗦𝗨𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻: 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲, an initiative that transforms advocacy into action and voices into meaningful commitments for our planet.

Guidelines:
1. The activity is open to all bona fide SorSU student organizations only.
2. Each organization must submit one (1) advocacy or pledge video.
3. Entries must be in MP4 format, with a minimum of one (1) minute and a maximum of five (5) minutes.
4. Videos must be clear, properly edited, and suitable for online dissemination.
5. Each entry must clearly present the organization’s pledge or commitment to SorSUstainability.
6. Participants must include the official hashtags:
7. The commitment pledge that has the most views will receive office supplies and will be shown in the SorSU LED screen.
8. Posting period will be April 22 - 26, 2026, the winner will be announced at the seminar on April 28, 2026.

The Office of SorSU National Service Training Program, together with the NSTP Kaagapay, is initiating a donation drive in response to the recent fire incident that occurred today, April 17, 2026, in Barangay Almendras-Cogon. This unfortunate event has greatly affected many families, leaving them without homes, belongings, and basic necessities.

Children, elderly residents, and vulnerable members of the community are now in urgent need of support as they begin to recover from this tragic situation.

In this time of need, we humbly knock on your generous hearts. Any form of assistance—no matter how big or small—can bring comfort and hope to those affected.

We highly encourage everyone to prioritize donating school supplies to help the students continue their education despite the challenges they are facing. You may also extend your help through financial assistance via the GCash account provided above. All donations will be properly accounted for and distributed directly to the affected families.

Proceeds and donations from this drive will be distributed directly to the fire-affected families in Barangay Almendras-Cogon, Sorsogon City to help them meet their urgent needs and recovery.
