๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐, ๐ผ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ก๐ โ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ 16, 2025 โ Bagbago-Puttao Elementary School (BPES) proudly marked a strong showing at the District Schools Press Conference (DSPC) held at Solsona Central Elementary School, as eight of its young journalists earned top placements and qualified for the Division Schools Press Conference.
Demonstrating excellence in campus journalism across various categories in both Filipino and English, the BPES delegation showcased skill, discipline, and dedication honed through the guidance of their committed coaches.
Ethel Mia A. Lagutan secured 4th place in Science and Technology Writing (Filipino) under the mentorship of Mrs. Jovelyn J. Arucan, while Heizel Keith R. Ganitano also clinched 4th place in Feature Writing (Filipino), coached by Mrs. Eldrige Asuncion A. Pascual.
Adding to the schoolโs success, Princes Cyrille S. Raymundo earned 4th place in Feature Writing (English) with the guidance of Mrs. Leonelia S. Raymundo.
In the News Writing category, Charlene Eunice V. Rante placed 5th in Filipino, coached by Mrs. Brisa Constancia J. Ramos, while April Kate S. Cariaga garnered 5th place in News Writing (English) under Mrs. Eleonora A. Tabangcura.
BPES also made its mark in Photojournalism, with Prince Aljen E. Agustin finishing 5th place in Photojournalism (Filipino) under Mrs. Almie Fie R. Raymundo, and Marialei Alexandrea A. Asuncion earning 5th place in Photojournalism (English), coached by Mrs. Clarie Ann A. Malaqui. Completing the list of qualifiers, Janizen Alpha A. Ramos placed 5th in Copyreading and Headline Writing (English), also mentored by Mrs. Malaqui.
The School Head and teachers expressed pride in the achievements of the learner-journalists, noting that their success reflects BPESโs continuous commitment to developing critical thinking, creativity, and responsible journalism among learners.
With their qualification to the Division Schools Press Conference, the BPES journalists are set to further sharpen their skills and represent the district with excellence, integrity, and passion for the written word.
