“I’m done hiding, now I’m shining like I’m born to be!”

From scrubs, facemasks, and gloves to lighting up the dance floor with dazzling moves and radiant beauty, the School of Medical Sciences (SMS) shone bright during the Acquaintance & Induction Party held at Highlander Hotel, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya last September 12, 2025.

Beyond the fun and celebration, the spotlight also revealed a deeper purpose, responsibility, and leadership. The newly elected officers of SSC, PNSA, SVSA, ARCHIVE, RED CROSS YOUTH, and MERT were formally inducted, led by 𝙃𝙤𝙣. 𝙅𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙥𝙝 𝙏𝙞𝙢 𝘾𝙖𝙮𝙩𝙤𝙣, Congressman of the Lone District of Nueva Vizcaya, together with the advisers of each organization. With passion and commitment, these leaders are ready to take on the school year ahead.

Special recognition is also given to the presence and inspiring messages of 𝙍𝙚𝙫. 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙤 𝘽. 𝘾𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜, Jr., Acting President of Aldersgate College, Inc., and Sir 𝙅𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙀. 𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙖, SAS Director, who both highlighted the value of excellence and dedication in service. Adding warmth to the night, the emcees emphasized the importance of camaraderie, reminding everyone that friendship and unity are at the heart of every successful celebration. The SMS family is also honored by the presence of 𝘿𝙧. 𝙈𝙮𝙧𝙣𝙖 𝙑. 𝙑𝙞𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙨, the Education Committee Chair of the Board of Trustees, who graced the occasion as a distinguished guest.

This memorable event would not have been possible without the hard work and creativity of the SMS-SSC officers, under the guidance of Acting Dean, Ma’am Leticia D. Serrano, RN, MAN, and SAS Adviser Ma’am Pia Mendaros, RN. Their commitment, together with the enthusiastic participation of the entire SMS family, made the evening a true success.

The SMS community has once again exercised the spirit of democracy through the successful election of the new Supreme Student Council Officers. Nursing Students from all year levels actively participated, casting their votes to elect the leaders who will represent and serve them for the Academic Year 2025-2026.

Through the collective voice of the student body, the majority has spoken, and a new set of leaders has been entrusted with the responsibility of upholding student welfare and spearheading meaningful initiatives. May our newly elected officers lead with integrity, dedication, and passion to serve our department with flying colors!

Pagbati sa ating mga kapwa SMS Students na nakilahok sa Poster Making Contest na ginanap bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika ngayong taon na may temang:
"Paglinang sa Filipino at Katutubong Wika: Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa"

Ipinagmamalaki naming ibalita na si Cristian Dem Cabalar ng BSN 4C ay nagkamit ng Unang Gantimpala (1st Place), habang si Denmor Ramos ng BSN 3A ay nabigyan ng pagkilala para sa kanyang aktibong pakikibahagi at malikhaing kontribusyon.

Kayo ay binabati ng buong SMS Family sa inyong ipinakitang husay, galing, at talento. Patunay ito na tayong mga estudyante ng kursong Nursing ay hindi lamang bihasa sa larangan ng agham at pag-aalaga, kundi may taglay ring sining, pagkamalikhain, at pagmamahal sa ating sariling Wika at Kultura.
