The SLCS Family Council is conducting “Mindful Parenting: Coping with Stress and Understanding Your Child’s Mental Health” at the SLCS Jubilee Gymnasium. Our GABAY Officers are actively accommodating and assisting parents to ensure a smooth and welcoming program.

Led by Kristine Ann L. Israel, RPm, RGC, this session supports parents in promoting their children’s mental well-being and building stronger family relationships.

The University of Perpetual Help System - Isabela (UPHS) Psychology Interns successfully completed their Educational Setting Internship at Saint Louis College of Solano (SLCS). The program provided students with hands-on experience in the essential roles of Psychometricians and Guidance Counselors within a school environment.

During their internship, the interns actively participated in various Guidance Office activities. Their responsibilities included conducting work immersion visits to Grade 12 students, creating and administering a needs assessment survey, facilitating wellness support sessions for selected students, interpreting data from the survey, and conducting homeroom guidance programs for all grade levels. They also taught lessons and developed IMRaD-style reports documenting their programs.

Through these activities, the interns gained practical insights and valuable experience in assessment, wellness support, and guidance services, equipping them with skills to better understand and assist students’ academic and personal development. Their successful completion marks an important step in their professional growth in the field of educational psychology.
