TECHNOFUSION 2026

The District Festival of Talents – TECHNOFUSION was successfully conducted on August 26, 2026, at Solano East Central School – Integrated SPED Center, bringing together talented learners from across Solano 1 District to showcase their creativity, practical skills, and technological abilities.

The activity featured learners demonstrating their skills in dish gardening, extension cord making, and the use of ICT, highlighting their resourcefulness, creativity, precision, and ability to apply practical knowledge in real-life situations.

The activity was led by the District TLE Coordinator, Mdm. Rubelyne A. Vicente, with the guidance and support of Dr. Mona Lisa A. Cabato, Public Schools District Supervisor of Solano 1 District.

The competition was carefully evaluated by the distinguished panel of judges: Sir Christian Jerald D. Decoro, Ma’am Arcely D. Arreola, and Sir Cesar A. Castillo, whose expertise and commitment helped ensure a fair and meaningful assessment of the participants.

The competition served as a platform for identifying the learners who will represent Solano 1 District in the Division Festival of Talents, bringing with them the skills, creativity, and innovative spirit demonstrated during the district competition.

To ensure that the activity did not disrupt regular instructional time, participating learners were accompanied by their school heads, Administrative Officers, and selected relieving teachers, allowing classroom instruction and learning activities to continue smoothly in their respective schools.

District Festival of Talents 2026: Read-A-Thon – Plot Twisting Challenge

The District Festival of Talents – Read-A-Thon: Plot Twisting Challenge was successfully conducted on August 26, 2026 at Solano East Central School – Integrated SPED Center (SECS-ISC).

Led by Dr. Gemma N. Sta. Ines, Principal III and the District English Coordinator, with the guidance of Dr. Mona Lisa A. Cabato, Public Schools District Supervisor, the activity provided learners with an opportunity to showcase their creativity, critical thinking, reading comprehension, and storytelling skills. It also served as the district-level selection of the learner who will represent Solano 1 District in the Division Festival of Talents.

The activity was made more meaningful through the expertise and impartiality of the distinguished judges from Bascaran National High School: Sir Edward D. Acoba, Sir Christian Jerald D. Decoro, and Ma’am Joan Q. Glumalid.

Learners were accompanied and supported by their respective School Heads, while others were assisted by their relieving teachers and Administrative Officers, demonstrating the strong commitment of the schools in nurturing learners’ talents and supporting their participation in district and division-level activities.

8th Division Management Committee Meeting

The 8th Division Management Committee (MANCOM) Meeting was successfully held on August 20, 2026 at the Dupax del Norte Municipal Gymnasium, hosted by the Dupax del Norte 1 and 2 Districts.

Solano 1 District proudly joined the gathering of education leaders and personnel, strengthening collaboration, sharing of best practices, and collective commitment toward delivering quality education.

The occasion was made more meaningful through the generous support of the Municipality of Dupax del Norte, under the leadership of the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Atty. Juan Paolo E. Cayton and Vice Mayor, Hon. Ric Ronelson D. Asuncion, together with the esteemed members of the Sangguniang Bayan.

The MANCOM was also graced by the presence of the Congressman of Nueva Vizcaya, Hon. Atty. Timothy Joseph E. Cayton, whose support and commitment to education further inspired the participants.

Dr. Mona Lisa A. Cabato, PSDS of Solano 1 District, conducted MISTAH Plus among private schools in the district to ensure effective school operations and provide timely guidance and technical assistance toward the delivery of quality, safe, and responsive education.

Among the private schools visited were Isaiah Christian Academy, Saint Louis College of Solano, Inc., and Lactawan United Methodist Church.

The monitoring activity strengthened the partnership between the district and private schools in ensuring responsive school operations and better learning experiences for learners.

SOLANO 1 DISTRICT STRENGTHENS SCHOOL SAFETY THROUGH M7X READY AND PLANSMART TRAINING

The Solano 1 District conducted a District Training-Workshop on the M7X Ready Program and PlanSmart for Safe Schools Web Application on August 18–19, 2026, aimed at strengthening the capacity of school personnel in disaster preparedness, risk management, and school safety planning.

The two-day training was held at the SECS-ISC Library Hub on Day 1 and at the Solano 1 District Office on Day 2, bringing together School Heads, Administrative Officers, ADAS, and Program Development Officers (PDO) from the district.

The training emphasized the importance of equipping schools with the knowledge, skills, and digital tools needed to identify risks, prepare appropriate response measures, and ensure the safety and continuity of learning during emergencies and disasters. Through the M7X Ready Program and PlanSmart Web Application, participants were guided in developing more responsive, organized, and data-informed school safety and DRRM plans.

A significant part of Day 2 was the monitoring visit of Division DRRM Focal Person Ma’am Maria Theresa Iglesia and her team, who observed the conduct of the training and provided support and guidance to the participants. Their presence underscored the importance of ensuring that district-level DRRM initiatives are aligned with division priorities and standards for safe and resilient schools.

The activity also highlighted the vital role of school leaders and administrative personnel in building a culture of preparedness and resilience, ensuring that disaster risk reduction and management are integrated into school operations and decision-making.

The successful conduct of the training was made possible through the leadership of District DRRM Focal Person Sir Ernesto T. Valido Jr., with the guidance and supervision of PSDS Dr. Mona Lisa A. Cabato.

The initiative reflects the Solano 1 District’s continuing commitment to strengthening school safety and disaster resilience, recognizing that effective preparedness is essential not only in protecting lives but also in ensuring the continuity of quality education amid emergencies.

Through strengthened capacity, informed planning, and collaborative action, Solano 1 District continues to build safer, more prepared, and more resilient schools for every learner and education personnel.

Solano 1 District proudly congratulates the winners of the 2026 District Search for Indomitable Knowledge, Attributes and Talents (SIKAT) for Teaching and Non-Teaching Employees, conducted pursuant to Division Memorandum No. 236, s. 2026.

The initiative recognized the skills, dedication, talents, and valuable contributions of teaching and non-teaching personnel in advancing excellence in Solano 1 District.
