The assessment is a qualifying process to identify incoming Grade 4, 5, and 6 pupils who have the potential to excel in our specialized curriculum. Over three years, successful applicants will master:
*Writing: News, Features, and Editorials.
*Visual Arts: Photojournalism and Editorial Cartooning.
*Production: Copyediting, Desktop Publishing, and Layout.
*Media: Broadcasting and hands-on journalistic processes.

To qualify for the assessment, applicants must meet the following criteria:
*Academic Excellence: A General Average of 89 or above.
*Target Grade Levels: Incoming Grades 4, 5, and 6.
*Passion: A strong interest in journalistic writing and broadcast media.
*Commitment: Willingness to undergo extended journalism subjects and intensive training.

SOLANO, NUEVA VIZCAYA — The Municipality of Solano has once again secured its place among the nation’s top educational performers, receiving the prestigious Seal of Good Education Governance (SGEG) during the 2026 Washington SyCip National Education Summit held this week at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Manila on February 19.

The Synergeia Foundation and USAID recognized Solano for Relentless Leadership honoring the Local School Board (LSB) and Mayor Atty. Philip A. Dacayo for reinventing governance and prioritizing education programs in the municipality.

The award was received by MLGU Solano delegation led by Hon. Vice Mayor Eduardo Tiongson, DepEd Nueva Vizcaya leaders headed by SDS Orlando Manuel, ASDS Adonis Ceperez; and Solano district supervisors, Dr. Mona Lisa A. Cabato and Mdm. Imelda Moreno.

This year's summit theme, "Carpe Diem!", highlights Solano’s proactive efforts to "seize the day" by transforming its public education system into a national benchmark for success.

SOLANO EAST CS-ISC topped elementary schools in Nueva Vizcaya after grabbing home the Best Performing Elementary School in the 2025 Division Schools Press Conference in Villaverde.

This was a combination points earned from the awards garnered in both English and Filipino medium in Individual and Group Events.

Meanwhile, Solano 1 district was ranked overall third place in best performing district.
