Sa kabila ng pagbabangayan ng ating matataas na opisyal at kapalpakan ng ilang nagpapatupad sa mga programa ng gobyerno dahil sa kawalan ng direksiyon kung hindi man talamak na korapsiyon, ang pamunuan ng Nueva Vizcaya Mushroom Agriculture Cooperative (NVMAC) ay pilit na nagsusumikap upang mai-angat ang antas ng pamumuhay ng mga kasapi nito.
Sa kasalukuyan ay pinagbubuti ng bagong tatag na Coop na ito na nakabase sa Bueno Integrated Farm (BIF) sa Brgy. Bagahabag, Solano, ang pagpapatupad sa DA BSWM Small Scale Organic Composting Project (SSOCP) bilang pagsunod sa programa ng administrasyong nasyonal sa pamamagitan ng Kagawaran sa Pagsasaka (DA) na ipinatutupsd naman ng mga Lokal na Pamahalaan tulad sa LGU ng Solano.
Sa kakaunting ambagan ng mga miembro ay tuloy-tuloy ang pagsubok nila sa ibat-ibang agricultural wastes at Bio-Degradable Materials na nasa paligid lamang, dagdag ang Spent Mushroom Substrates upang gawing Organic Fertlizers na walang lason at non-synthetic.. Ang pangunahin at subok na sa Sayantipikong Pamamaraan na Composting Agent ay mga African Night Crawklers (ANC) o "alumbayad" sa Ilokano.
Umaasa ang mga Coop members na hindi lang sana pasilidad kagaya ng Shredding Machine at kaakibat na training sa pag-operate sa mga kagamitan ang maitulong ng ating pamahalaan kundi pondo rin sana para mapabilis ang pag-usad (maramihang pagpadami at pagbenta sa produkto) ng proyektong ito sa Organic Farming. #

The Nueva Vizcaya Mushroom Agriculture Cooperative {NVMAC) based at the Bueno Integrated Farm (BIF) in Brgy. Bagahabag, Solano, has started to implement a Small Scale Organic Composting Project (SSOCP) under the guidance of DA Bureau of Soil and Water Management (BSWM) in coordination with the Solano Municipal Agriculture Office (MAGRO).
This CDA-registered cooperative is putting into maximum use a DA-BSWM procured Shredding Machine for the production of Organic Fertilizers (Vermi-Composted Bio-Degradable materials to include mushroom wastes) in line with the national government's program on Organic Agriculture as adopted by the LGU of Solano (thru SB Municipal Ordinance No. 2021-24-11 otherwise known as Organic Farming).
It is projected that given the gestation period of two months (about 2 weeks after shredding of initial raw materials plus 6 more weeks upon release of African Night Crawlers as the composting agent to a well-studied formula), the first ever prototype fertilizer to be produced shall be ready for analysis in terms of elemental contents as well as for whatever purposes it may serve starting September of this year.
The major predicament of coop members that is now preoccupying their Board of Directors (BOD) is funding in order to mass produce and extensively market said non-synthetic / non- toxic organic products (to also include ANC breeders, vermi casts, vermi tea / wash / liquid aside from just vermi compost) for general benefit of both food producers and consumers.
It is hoped that the national and local government units in Nueva Vizcaya (said Cooperative is province-wide in coverage) will be able to support the efforts of these innovative mushroom growers and processors who found an environment- friendly and beneficial way of disposing spent mushroom substrates.
Meanwhile, the BOD of this Cooperative is now working for a business agreement with the Dizon Corporation (Owner-Operator of a Global Agricultural Marketing entity). It is highly expected that the present national government administration thru the DA and allied funding institutions will be able to extend significant support not only in terms of technical but financial in the entrepreneurial development of this highly motivated group, many of whom are diversifying rice and high-value crop farmers. #

Aldersgate College (AC) senior high school pencil- pushers who diligently worked for more than two weeks at the Bueno Integrated Farm (BIF), they will also receive Certificates of Participation from TESDA for having completed today the basic criteria for Crash Courses on Skill Competencies in Organic Vegetable Gardening, Organic Fertilizer Making and Introduction to Mushroom Growing.
The BIF is one of many Socio- Economic Enterprises being considered as Official Partner of TESDA Nueva Vizcaya in the conduct of Community-based Trainings (CBT) for farmer-workers and
Industry-based Seminar- Workshops (IBT) for on-the-job trainees (OJT) and immersion students.
This farm Training Director - Founder of BIF is a Philippine Chamber of Entrepreneurs (PCE) - Go Negosyo Certified Agri- Preneurship Mentor. As such, although still recovering from the effects of a vehiclar accident aggravated by HBP stroke and a major eye surgery, this public servant finds premium time and satisfaction with TESDA Select Trainors (both On-Call and In-House) in sharing Knowledge and Skills (KaS) on agricultural food production and job generation.
The BIF is actually a privately-operated Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) but duly-accredited by DA - Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) which accepts farm trainees on a case-to-case basis subject to surveyed community needs visavis availability of funds or benevolent donors of logistics. # 02/2024

VALUES FORMATION , NOW A MUST DO AT THE BUENO INTEGRATED FARM (BIF).
A batch of 20 High school work immersion students from Aldersgate College (AC) undergo values formation sponsored by TESDA Nueva Vizcaya Office in partnership with this Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA).
Frater Vincent Maria, FSM- religious missionary of the Roman Catholic Church, initiated this afternoon a lecture on values development. Senior Training Specialist Eva Tolentino said TESDA Provincial Office is regularly conducting this during their trainings in order to capacitate trainees with the necessary attitude
even as they learn needed knowledge and skills.
These immersion students, also considered as mentees to competency skills like organic fertilizer production, vegetable cultivation, and basic mushroom growing, find this rare encounter very interesting as they positively interacted with the speaker. # 02/2024

FARM WORK IMMERSION !
Some 20 senior high school students from Aldersgate College enjoy their exposure (learning while doing) at the Bueno Integrated Farm, a privately-operated but DA-ATI accredited Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA).
Inspite the absence of a government regular subsidy, the BIF management persists in extending free Community- based Trainings (CBT) on organic agriculture as a social responsibility. Thanks to the assistance from few agencies like TESDA and benevolent individuals who, on limited case-to- -basis, help in paying the honoraria of select trainors /mentors.
This private initiative is actively being pursued to complement concerned public institutions' efforts in food production and livelihood generation during these times of need. # 02/2024

Another batch of CDA-required Pre-Membership Education Seminar (PMES) for Cooperatives was successfully hosted today by the Bueno Integrated Farm (BIF), a DA-ATI accredited Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA).
After the PMES, a proposal to supply mushroom fruiting bags to the Bernabe's Foodhouse Corporation, a Siomai and other fast food products' chain (in the country and abroad) owned by a known family from Dupax of this province, was seriously deliberated upon by the officers and members of the said Nueva Vizcaya Mushroom Agriculture Cooperative (NVMAC).
The BIF is the main office / farmbase of this new CDA-registered Agriculture Cooperative. It is now opening a Sub-Office and Trading Post /Pick-Up & Drop-Off Point (PUDOP) in downtown Solano. # 02/2024
