FCIS STUDENT ONBOARDING PROGRAM 2026
The FCIS freshmen, transferees, and shiftees attended the Student Onboarding Program held at the SLSU Mini Theater on August 19, 2026.
The program introduced the students to the FCIS faculty and staff, allowing them to become familiar with the people who will guide and support them throughout their academic journey.
The event also featured the introduction of the different student organizations under FCIS, including the ICTS, YouthMappers, and CODE Club. The introduction aimed to help students understand the roles, responsibilities, and contributions of each organization, as well as the opportunities they provide for students to participate, develop their skills, and become more involved in the FCIS community.
The KF21 Organization was also given the opportunity to introduce itself to the students and share helpful information that may guide and support them throughout their academic journey and in their future endeavors.
The program also discussed the University Code of Conduct, helping students understand the rules, responsibilities, and proper behavior expected of them both inside and outside the university. It also tackled the grading system and provided guidance on what students should do to successfully complete the semester and avoid academic inconveniences.
The program also included the election of the first-year representative, giving the freshmen an opportunity to choose their representative and ensure that their voices are represented within the student community.
Overall, the Student Onboarding Program helped students gain a deeper understanding of the University and the FCIS community, equipping them with important information as they begin their academic journey.
Again, welcome to FCIS, Webmasters! ๐
