A great start to a purposeful year! We officially welcomed our new members to the SLSU YouthMappers family.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | LANDBANK brings financial literacy closer to SLSU–Sogod Campus 💚

Promoting responsible financial management among the Kingfishers, LANDBANK, in partnership with Southern Leyte State University–Sogod Campus, launched the Cash Lite Campus initiative at the Multi-Purpose Court (MPC). The event featured an interactive discussion, trivia activities, and an introduction to LANDBANK’s digital banking services, highlighting the importance of financial responsibility among students.

Featuring the SLSU YouthMappers (YM), through its Attendance Committee, which assisted the Supreme Student Council (SSC) in organizing and managing attendance for the event, helping ensure a smooth and organized experience for all participants.

𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 | 𝗔𝗖𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 🎭

Wrong party, right memories! The Acquaintance Party 2026 brought the Kingfishers together under the theme “Attended the Wrong Party,” turning the celebration into a colorful showcase of creativity and personality. From unexpected party-inspired outfits to unique and playful costumes, students embraced the theme and filled the event with fun, laughter, and unforgettable moments. 📸✨

Behind the lively celebration, the SLSU YouthMappers (YM) lent a hand to the Supreme Student Council (SSC) by taking charge of attendance organization, helping keep the attendance process orderly throughout the event. 🩵

On August 19, 2026, we — the Southern Leyte State U YouthMappers — joined the FCIS Onboarding to meet and welcome our new FCIS students! 💙

The program also introduced other student organizations including ICTS which focuses on technology, innovation, and IT skills development, CODE Club for students passionate in programming, web development, and tech projects, and KF21 which is dedicated to leadership, service, and student welfare initiatives, together with the faculty and staff who will guide students throughout their academic journey.

We introduced YouthMappers and shared how we use mapping, GIS, and service projects to support disaster preparedness and community development here in Southern Leyte and beyond.

The best part? YouthMappers is open to ALL — freshmen, shiftees, and transferees. No experience needed. Just the willingness to learn, serve, and make an impact. 🗺️
