Sison Central Integrated School actively participated in the observance of Fire Prevention Month through a meaningful and informative program aimed at strengthening the awareness and preparedness of learners and school personnel in times of emergencies.

The activity was graced by our distinguished resource speakers from the Bfp RegionOne Sison Pangasinan (BFP) and the Sison PS Pangasinan (PNP). SFO2 Oliver D. Capistrano from the BFP shared valuable knowledge on fire prevention and safety awareness. He discussed common causes of fire incidents and emphasized the importance of vigilance and preparedness. He also demonstrated the proper use of a fire extinguisher and explained the safety measures in controlling small fires using the PASS method (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, and Sweep), giving participants practical insights on how to respond effectively during fire emergencies.

Meanwhile, Police Captain Mark Billy S. Carbonell from the PNP discussed bomb threat awareness and the proper response in case such situations arise. His talk highlighted the importance of remaining calm, following safety protocols, and immediately reporting suspicious activities to authorities to ensure the safety of everyone in the school community.

Adding to the learning experience, Sir Evan Lyndel D. Orduรฑa, Teacher III, facilitated a discussion on Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and the essential items found in a basic first aid bag. His session provided learners and teachers with practical knowledge and skills that can be used in responding to medical emergencies and providing immediate assistance when needed.

Through these informative sessions, learners and school personnel gained essential knowledge on fire safety, emergency preparedness, and life-saving techniques. The activity served as a reminder that awareness, preparedness, and cooperation play vital roles in ensuring the safety of the entire school community.
