Yesterday, 23 July 2026, The Pretorians successfully conducted the screening for cadets and cadettes aspiring to become part of the ROTC Journalists. The activity gave each aspirant the opportunity to showcase their talents, skills, and potential in their chosen field of journalism.

The screening officially started at 0900HRS and concluded at 1530HRS. The activity was supervised by the ROTC Officers—C/LTC Lance Amiel A Reyes, 1CL and C/CPT Ma. Elyza M Talaguit, 2CL—together with the Senior Journalists. The assigned staff for each specialization were as follows:

The screening consisted of two phases. Phase 1 focused on the applicants' on-the-spot performance, where they demonstrated their skills based on their chosen specialization. Phase 2 was the personality interview, which assessed their sense of responsibility, commitment, ability to perform under pressure, and perspectives on teamwork and multitasking as future ROTC Journalists.

The screening aims to identify and develop aspiring journalists who embody leadership, teamwork, responsiveness, and attentiveness—qualities essential in producing competent and dedicated ROTC Journalists who will continue to uphold excellence and leave a lasting legacy.
