Held on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, at the 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗼 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅 , the tournament brought together high school teams from the First and Second Districts of Camarines Sur.

This victory reflects what KTLA stands for, 𝗻𝘂𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀, 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

This Buwan ng Wika 2026, the 𝐊𝐓𝐋𝐀 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 comes together for a 𝐏𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 where students bring food to share, stories are exchanged, and Filipino traditions come alive through simple moments of togetherness.

This event, as a part of the month long celebration prepared by KTLA- Filipino Program, not only celebrates our language and culture but also by creates meaningful spaces beyond the classroom where students can connect, participate, and experience the joy of being part of a community.

Because at KTLA, Buwan ng Wika is not only about celebrating our language, it is about 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲.

𝐊𝐓𝐋𝐀 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 quality training, meaningful experience, and values that prepare students for the future.

At 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗰., we believe that the best learning happens when knowledge is put into practice. Through our 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 and 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀, students gain meaningful exposure to professional workplaces and experience the standards expected in the hospitality industry.

Training in a reputable hospitality establishment like 𝗨𝗠𝗔 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 allows our students to bring what they learned at 𝗞𝗧𝗟𝗔 into the real world putting their 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀, 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 into action.

The KTLA community proudly stands behind the Apollo Debate Society as they represent King Thomas Learning Academy at the National Asian High School Debate Championship (NASHDC) 2026, happening from August 17–20 at De La Salle University Manila.

Representing KTLA 1 are Antch Dwyne De Castro, Nico Robin Perez, and Louis Antonio Castilla, while KTLA 2 is composed of Christine Joy Besa, Gian Franco Novo, and Katelyn Nicole Hermoso.

As you enter every round, may you carry the spirit of Apollo—the god of light, knowledge, eloquence, and the arts. May his light guide your thoughts, sharpen your arguments, and give you the courage to speak with clarity and conviction.

The event highlighted the many possibilities that come with Tech-Voc education through a 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫, giving participants the opportunity to explore employment prospects and connect with potential employers.

Adding to the experience were engaging 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, showcasing the knowledge, creativity, and industry-ready competencies developed through Technical-Vocational Education and Training.

Through the active participation of Tech-Voc institutions, the celebration reinforced the importance of 𝐮𝐩𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 and 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 in preparing Filipinos for an evolving world of work.

The 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐨: 𝐖𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐬 has officially concluded at the 𝐊𝐓𝐋𝐀 𝐆𝐲𝐦𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦, bringing together the brightest minds from our 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 and 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥.

Led by the 𝐊𝐓𝐋𝐀-𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦, the competition featured 𝟓 𝐉𝐇𝐒 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 and 𝟓 𝐒𝐇𝐒 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬, who went head-to-head in a spirited showcase of knowledge, quick thinking, confidence, and love for the Filipino language.

Beyond the questions and answers, 𝐖𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐬 became a celebration of the beauty and richness of our language—reminding our young Thomasians that Filipino is more than a subject; it is a living expression of our culture, identity, and shared heritage.

𝐓𝐎𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐋 𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒

Today, our Junior High School Thomasians came together for a meaningful afternoon of reflection, learning, and connection as we embraced the message of Together for Mental Wellness: Building Strong Minds and Safe Schools.

Held at the KTLA Gymnasium, the gathering reminded us that education goes beyond lessons inside the classroom. It is also about creating a community where students feel safe to speak, comfortable to be themselves, and supported through life’s challenges.

Our guest speaker, Ma'am Laurice Alfonso Torres, shared meaningful insights on mental wellness, resilience, and the importance of building an environment where every learner feels seen, heard, understood, and valued.

At KTLA, we believe that nurturing young minds means caring for the whole person. When students are given not only opportunities to learn, but also a community that listens and understands, they are given space to grow with confidence, purpose, and compassion.

Today was more than an afternoon of learning—it was a gentle reminder that no one has to carry their struggles alone. Together, we can continue building stronger minds, kinder hearts, and safer schools.

This is the kind of education we hope to nurture at King Thomas Learning Academy—one that uplifts lives, builds futures, and never forgets the person behind every learner.

With the collaborative efforts of KTLA Student Government Organization and The KTLA Guidance Center, we continue to make student well-being an essential part of the Thomasian experience.
