In light of the latest PAG-ASA weather advisory indicating improved weather conditions, and pursuant to the released advisories from the Local Government Units of Calabanga, Pasacao, Pili, and Sipocot, face-to-face classes and on-site office transactions in all campuses of Central Bicol State University of Agriculture will officially resume tomorrow, November 26, 2025.

Students who may have difficulty reporting to school due to localized flooding or other hazards in their area are advised to inform their respective faculty-in-charge for proper consideration and academic arrangements. Faculty members are reminded to extend leniency and provide reasonable consideration to affected students.

Employees are likewise directed to report onsite and resume normal work operations.

In view of the latest weather advisories issued by PAGASA regarding Tropical Storm Uwan, which is expected to bring heavy rains and strong winds over the Bicol Region starting this weekend, all campuses of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) shall shift to asynchronous classes beginning tomorrow, November 7, 2025, until further notice.

This precautionary measure aims to minimize risks associated with potential flooding, transportation disruptions, and other weather-related hazards. It will also allow students residing in dormitories sufficient time to return safely to their homes while weather conditions remain manageable.

The directive follows the advisory of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, based on recommendations from the CBSUA Resilience Center, in line with ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and preparedness of the CBSUA community.

This advisory is consistent with the University’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) protocols and reaffirm CBSUA's commitment to safeguarding the welfare of its entire academic continuity.

𝘖𝘗 𝘔𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘮 𝘕𝘰. 10-240

In celebration of the University's 16th Charter Anniversary on 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟰-𝟭𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, all classes in CBSUA shall be conducted through online modality to provide the academic community with the opportunity to participate in the various activities prepared for the occasion.

Faculty members are expected to report on the said dates and actively participate in the events as indicated in the official program of activities. The same class arrangement shall be observed on 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱. However, classes in the Graduate School scheduled on October 18-19, 2025, shall proceed as stipulated in the respective course syllabi.

Non-teaching personnel and faculty members with administrative functions who are directly involved in or will participate in the events shall be excused from work, provided that they indicate and attach proof of such involvement in their Daily Time Records (DTRs). Those who are not involved in any of the activities are expected to report for work and perform their regular duties as usual.

Further, the caretakers of the animal projects and the security personnel shall continue to report for work on the above-cited dates following their deployment schedule.

More than 100 families, totaling 343 individuals, sought refuge across the four campuses of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) as Severe Tropical Storm (STS) Opong made landfall. The evacuees came from flood-prone areas near the municipalities of Calabanga, Gainza, Pili, Pasacao, and Sipocot. Pursuant to the memorandum issued by the Office of the Governor of Camarines Sur and in view of the increasing threat posed by Tropical Cyclone "Opong," work and classes at all levels across Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) campuses are suspended effective 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗱.

However, security personnel shall continue to report for work in accordance with their deployment schedules.

This measure is being implemented to ensure everyone’s safety and to allow families and communities to make necessary preparations for the approaching tropical cyclone.
