𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗗𝗘 𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 | 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗜𝗧 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆

The College of Information Technology held it's annual miting de Avance for the election of the College of Information Technology Student Council, today December 5, 2025 at the Cultural Hall.

The program commenced with invocation by an audio visual presentation followed by the opening message from the Program Chairperson of the College of Information Technology, Prof. Jecelyn Mae Baluro and Prof. Richard M. Castuera Jr., Cyberpen Adviser, that was presented by the Editor in Chief of Cyberpen, Stephanie B. Clacio, highlighting that today's event is very crucial for this is a chance to witness who would be the new student leaders that will represent and guide us.

For the Introduction of Aspiring Candidates, Arriane Manalo, Associate Editor of Cyberpen took the stage followed by the presentation of Rules and Guidelines by John Romeo Brina, General Secretary of Cyberpen.

The program proceeded with the Introduction and Presentation of Platforms of the candidates, each showcasing projects and initiatives designed to benefit every CITizen. This was followed by the Stances on Issues, where candidates were asked about national, local, campus-related, and election-related matters to assess their awareness and perspectives. The final segment featured the Open Forum, giving the student audience an opportunity to raise concerns and ask questions directly to the aspiring leaders.

The event concluded with the closing remarks coming from Prof. Veronica Louise Piando, the CITSC adviser, she expressed gratitude to every student, aspiring candidates, and the facilitators who make this event happened.

Miting de Avance is a crucial event—it allows voters to meet the candidates running for office, hear their platforms and plans, and ask questions. This event promotes transparency and accountability among candidates, encouraging them to be honest and clear about their intentions.
