๐ Today, we proudly commemorate the 128th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence, honoring the bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism of the Filipino people who fought for our nation's freedom.
๐ ๐ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ: On June 12, 1898, Philippine independence was proclaimed in Kawit, Cavite, marking a historic milestone in our nation's journey toward self-determination and sovereignty. On this day, the Philippine flag was first unfurled, symbolizing the birth of a free and united Filipino nation.
๐ก ๐๐ข๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ ๐๐ง๐จ๐ฐ? โข Independence Day was originally celebrated on July 4 until 1962. โข The celebration was later moved to June 12 to honor the day Filipinos declared independence from Spanish colonial rule. โข The eight rays of the sun on the Philippine flag represent the first eight provinces that revolted against Spain.
๐ As we celebrate 128 years of freedom, let us honor our heroes not only through remembrance but also through our actions as responsible citizens, dedicated learners, and proud Filipinos.
โจ "Ang kalayaan ay pamana ng nakaraan at pananagutan para sa kinabukasan."
