"Breaking barriers, building hope, and standing against violence."

On October 3, 2025, the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), under the leadership of Ms. Leonalyn A. Compis, MSCJ, formally launched its extension project titled “Breaking the Silence: Community Awareness and Action Against Intimate Partner Violence” through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing and project launching held at Barangay Manaol, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte.

The event was highlighted by the presence and support of the Barangay Captain of Manaol, together with barangay officials, and JRMSU Officials. Their participation underscored a strong partnership between the community and the academe in addressing pressing social issues.

This initiative marks a significant step towards raising awareness, promoting advocacy, and empowering the community to prevent and respond to intimate partner violence.

The distribution of certificates to the Extension Project Team, dedicated BSED-English II tutors, and JSMCHS extension facilitators was graced by the College of Teacher Education Dean, Dr. Sergio A. Tabiliran Jr., and Extension Unit Head, Prof. Nelson N. Cabig, last March 25, 2025.

"Strengthening Gender Mainstreaming in Campus Journalism" an extension project of JRMSU-Siocon Campus, spearheaded by KENT JESTONI Q. GABO, in partnership with DepEd- Siocon.

The project, which aimed to promote gender sensitivity and inclusivity in student publications, was successfully culminated through series of capacity-building sessions and a final showcase of outputs by participating campus journalists.

CULMINATION OF EXTENSION PROGRAM!!!
"Reading Reinforcement Program for HighSchoolers Phase I" a project by AIZA SABERON DALMAN, together with the BSED- English II of Jose Rizal Memorial State University- Siocon Campus, culminated on March 25, 2025, at Julian Soriano Memorial Comprehensive High School.

Everyone noticed the significant progress made by the selected Grade 7 struggling readers of JSMCHS, thanks to the dedicated support of the BSED- English II students who served as their tutors, helping them improve their reading and comprehension skills.

The immediate result of the recently culminated extension project "Strengthening Gender Mainstreaming in Campus Journalism" by Mr. Kent Jestoni Gabo, together with, College of Teacher Education and the State Collegian of Siocon Campus.
The reaped knowledge by the beneficiaries from the extension program by Jose Rizal Memorial State University- Siocon Campus, was utilized through featuring the Zamboanga Peninsula Athletic Association (ZPRAA 2025).

HIGHLIGHTS: Culmination Program of "Skills Training on Motorcycle/ Small Engine Servicing" and the Turn-over of the tools that the beneficiaries may use for the application of their acquired skills while earning at Makiang, Siocon Zamboanga del Norte.

Despite of the rain on August 30, 2024 the launching of CIT extension "Skills Training on Motorcycle/ Small Engine Servicing" took place at Makiang, Siocon Zamboanga del Norte. The eagerness of both the participants and the proponents made it possible.
