It is with profound sadness that the JPMSE MSU-Sindangan Chapter shares the passing of our fellow and pioneering Mechanical Engineering student, Rhodnie B. Hayag.

Rhodnie was not only a future Mechanical Engineer, but also a brother in JPSME, a friend, and an important part of our organization. His presence, shared experiences, and contributions to our community will always be remembered. His loss has left a deep void in our hearts, and the entire JPSME family mourns together with his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

As an organization built on unity, compassion, and brotherhood, JPSME is initiating a fundraising effort to extend support to Rhodnie’s family, particularly in helping with funeral and related expenses.

In this time of grief, we humbly ask for your kind hearts to offer any form of assistance. No amount is too small, and every contribution will mean so much to his family.

The 𝗝𝗣𝗦𝗠𝗘 𝗠𝗦𝗨-𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 joins the 𝟮𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗨𝗝𝗣𝗦𝗠𝗘–𝗡𝗠 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 held at 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 in 𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 on November 27-28, 2025. The event brought together Mechanical Engineering students from various schools across Northern Mindanao, fostering collaboration, shared learning, and strengthened camaraderie. The program featured exciting sports activities that ignited school spirit and strengthened bonds among participants. The plant tour further exposed students to real-world engineering operations—an enriching, eye-opening, and memorable experience for everyone.

Congratulations to all our participants for carrying our banner with pride. Your hard work, sportsmanship, and spirit made this year’s assembly truly remarkable.

The FabLab Workshop was successfully held in MSU-MCSE FabLab, giving Mechanical Engineering students a hands-on introduction to modern digital fabrication technologies. The session featured live demonstrations from our skilled FabLab operators, who showcased how each machine transforms digital designs into real, tangible outputs.

This workshop was made possible through the cooperation of TUKMA, the FabLab student organization, headed by its dedicated adviser, Engr. Mamerto Benitez. The embroidery machine was expertly operated by Prof. Ryan Basmayor and Renante Canastra, showing how detailed patterns can be stitched with precision through digital control. The CNC router demonstration, led by Engr. Carlo Martinez, highlighted the machine’s capability to cut, carve, and shape materials with impressive accuracy. Meanwhile, Ermildo Lynx Diamante operated the laser cutter, illustrating its speed and versatility in engraving and cutting of sample materials. Their support and initiative greatly contributed to the success of the event.

Through this workshop, participants were able to gain meaningful hands-on experience and a clearer understanding of how digital fabrication tools can bring creative ideas to life. The activity not only strengthened their technical skills but also encouraged curiosity, collaboration, and innovation values that the FabLab continues to uphold and promote.

𝐖𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐩 𝐌𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓: 𝐈𝐥𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬, 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬! 🎉

The 𝗠𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 successfully concluded its ME Week celebration and Department Orientation, marking a memorable gathering of innovation, inspiration, and unity among future engineers.

The event opened with an inspiring Audio-Visual Presentation of the Opening Remarks from 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐃𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐠, officially welcoming everyone to the ME family, especially the freshmen. The message set the tone for the day, emphasizing unity, curiosity, and the pursuit of innovation.

𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐍𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐡 𝐀𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧 led the ME Department Orientation, providing students with an overview of the department’s academic programs, policies, and expectations. He emphasized the value of discipline, collaboration, and innovation—qualities that define every Mechanical Engineer. In light of the recent earthquakes occurring across the Philippines, he also underscored the importance of earthquake awareness and preparedness. He discussed the fault line located near the campus, reminding students to remain alert and informed about potential risks.

Adding to the event’s inspiration, 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐫 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐨𝐣𝐨𝐜, one of the pioneer graduates of the ME Department Batch 2025, shared his remarkable journey through college. His words resonated deeply, motivating students to embrace perseverance, curiosity, and growth.

Finally, the event was brought to a close with heartfelt Closing Remarks from 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡 𝐃𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐨𝐝, who thanked everyone for their participation and encouraged students to continue living by the theme “𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐃𝐀𝐆: 𝐈𝐥𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬, 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.”
